CPAFFC: The US State Department issued a warning in 2020 stating that the organisation's mission was to ‘court local governments’ and ‘attempt to directly and maliciously influence state and local leaders to advance’ China's global agenda. By 2022, the US National Counterintelligence and Security Centre also indicated that CPAFFC was involved in ‘foreign influence operations’ linked to the Chinese Communist Party.
