We work to be good stewards of natural resources and responsible citizens of the planet. We’re proud of the work we have done so far and are working to do even more. By revamping our sustainability program and refocusing our approach to better reflect our current operations and future ambitions, we continue strive to be better than we were yesterday.

Our work so far

Water efficiency

Water is an important and finite resource that everyone must take care of. At Chobani, we work to efficiently use water across our operations. For example, from 2022 to 2023, we achieved an 8% reduction in our water intensity.

Waste management

We focus on reducing waste at our plants by recycling and repurposing waste, rather than sending it to landfills. We divert at least 90% of our waste from landfill at our South Edmeston plant, and we are on track to do the same at our Twin Falls plant by the end of 2024.

Energy and emissions

In 2024, we conducted full-site energy audits at all Chobani plants, allowing us to find ways to be more efficient and reduce emissions. We are implementing projects across all plants to help minimize our Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
