AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin man is facing charges after police say he threatened a local news station, then led police on a chase.
According to an affidavit, officers responded to a bomb threat on Sept. 20, at the building at 119 E. 10th St. that houses the Fox 7 Austin studios.
At around 1 p.m., 31-year-old Jahred Bruno walked into the building and said he had planted a bomb on the premises. Police later said they didn't find anything when they searched the scene.
After walking out of the building, Bruno left the scene in a vehicle. A police officer noticed the vehicle from the earlier complaint and tried to execute a traffic stop, but Bruno sped away, causing a pursuit.
Bruno's vehicle was ultimately stopped after a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper executed a PIT maneuver, disabling the vehicle. Bruno was then removed from the vehicle and arrested.
Bruno is facing charges of terroristic threat and evading arrest with a vehicle, both third-degree felonies.

AUSTIN, Texas — A Hays County man is facing charges following an incident that prompted a SWAT call in Kyle on Friday.
According to the Hays County Sheriff's Office, the call came after Mohammed Al Anaiza allegedly rammed the victim's vehicle, threatened to kill her and threatened her with a firearm.
The SWAT operation occurred in the 1700 block of Bebee Road in unincorporated Kyle at around 4:15 p.m. Friday.
Al Anaiza was arrested and is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Hays County Sheriff's Office said the Criminal Investigations Division is still investigating the incident.
Investigators believe the suspect broke into the Vintage Hill Church in Liberty Hill on Sunday, Sept. 28.
The suspect left the church in a dark red Chevy Trax SUV without a roof rack.
The church is the most recent in the area that has dealt with a break-in, after Trinity Anglican Church in Jonestown and Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lago Vista dealt with burglary incidents earlier this year. It is unclear if any of the cases are related.
People with any information regarding the incident or the suspect, are urged to reach out to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office CID at (512) 943-1313.
