A few days ago, I was informed of Lord Miles' imprisonment in Saudi Arabia. My team just informed me that he passed away in police custody. I am horrified and deeply saddened by the news of his passing. Miles fell into a coma as the police staff gave him a large amount of food without his consent. This never should have happened since he was 20+ days into a fast. His body went into shock and a few hours later he was pronounced dead at the British Consulate in Saudi Arabia. Going into this we understood the risks posed but I never in my wildest dreams thought something like this could ever happen. Miles was not only a sponsor, an ally in our war, but a close friend. I hope he is at peace wherever he may be.
A black-and-white photo of Lord Miles, a young man with short, light-colored hair, smiling and looking at the camera. He is wearing a collared shirt, with a blurred outdoor background of trees and vehicles. Text overlay reads "R.I.P. LORD MILES 1999 - 2025" in white capital letters.
