Stem cell therapy is an option
Stem cell therapy is a treatment that uses cells that can differentiate into various tissues in the body to repair damaged tissue.
Due to the nature of this treatment, which uses one's own cells to repair tissue damaged for some reason, it offers the possibility of improving diseases that have had no cure or are very difficult to treat until now (from brain diseases such as autism, cerebral palsy, and movement disorders to heart failure and liver cirrhosis). *In order to increase safety, our group's treatments do not involve cell processing.
Why are we so particular about stem cell therapy from bone marrow?
Stem cells can be collected from various sources other than bone marrow, such as fat or umbilical cord blood. However, we would like to focus on stem cell therapy from bone marrow. The reason is as follows.
- Bone marrow stem cell therapy has the longest history among stem cell therapies, including those used for cancer treatment, and is a treatment method with established efficacy.
- Bone marrow contains a variety of stem cells such as hematopoietic stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, and muse stem cells.
Collecting bone marrow fluid may seem painful, but at our hospital, we use a number of techniques, such as using appropriate anesthesia and adjusting the suction pressure during collection. We are committed to making treatment as painless as possible.
