When a good idea comes to mind, it is very natural to want to share it with others and to use it for someone's happiness. In the world today, many people want to give shape to their ideas and thoughts, and to improve society. And what is used for this purpose is “the power of intellectual property”. When you hear the word “IP” or “Intellectual Property”, you may think that it has nothing to do with you. However, it has the power to change the world. For example, there are people who connect old cultures and traditions to the future, people who are increasing the number of friends who are reducing their trash to zero, and people who are trying to support children together with the whole community. So many people are changing the world through the power of intellectual property. We hope that you will learn about IP, since the more you know, the more interesting it becomes. It can support your ideas and the challenges you are facing— and it may become the power to make our world a better place.

AI Suitcase, an autonomous guidance robot for the visually impaired [10/6]
AI Suitcase" is an autonomous navigation robot under development to assist the visually impaired in their mobility. It has a computer, sensors, and motors built inside, and can safely guide users to their destinations while avoiding people and obstacles. The Consortium for the Development of Next-generation Mobility Assistive Technology has conducted demonstration tests at large shopping malls, airports, and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Odaiba, Tokyo. At this Expo, a larger-scale demonstration experiment will be conducted for the entire duration of the Expo. Anyone, not just the visually impaired, can choose from several routes around the venue to experience a tour using AI suitcases.

Hanamofurol," a child-like guardian robot, delivers a sense of security to the elderly and children through dialogue and behavior. Equipped with a life-size child-like figure and a gentle voice, Hanamofurol creates "heart-to-heart moments" by making eye contact and talking to them. The Expo sauna, "TAIYO NO TSUBOMI," is located at the western edge of the venue, overlooking Osaka Bay. This open, scenic waterfront sauna offers an immersive experience that embodies the theme of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai: "Designing Future Society for Our Lives. Petal-shaped air membrane cushions come together to form a single bud, creating a beautifully dynamic structure that stretches toward the sun, brimming with vitality. The energy of the sun, immersed in the air of the sea, plants, and wind, pours down onto the "TAIYO NO TSUBOMI (Sun Bud)." The delicate yet powerful membrane creates an environment filled with natural energy, harmonizing our minds and bodies and guiding us back to the core of our humanity. The space, enveloped by an ETFE film* membrane that allows natural light to filter through, glows gracefully with LED lighting, harmonizing with the ever-changing nature of Osaka Bay across the seasons and time. The sauna offers a completely new 'co-creation' space, embodying a future society that values “warmth and harmony.” *ETFE film: A high-performance fluoropolymer material that has been processed into a film. Magnetic installation reduces waste!
From the perspective of SDGs and ecology, interest in forest protection, plastic waste reduction, and food waste is growing, but a lot of building waste is still generated after rebuilding and remodeling buildings, and limited-time events and exhibitions. Therefore, we aim to achieve the ultimate waste reduction by using magnet construction, which can be used repeatedly without using glue, nails, or screws. Anyone can do magnet construction, regardless of country, race, or gender. Experience Tour of the “UNI-ONE,” a seated personal mobility vehicle developed through Honda's robotics research, will be held at the Future Life Village. *Reservations for the riding experience are accepted at the venue. *Reservations: Morning session reservations are accepted from 10:00 a.m. Afternoon session reservations are accepted from 2:30 p.m (Number tickets will be distributed from 2 PM.) In principle, three UNI-ONE will be in operation, and up to three people may ride the UNI-ONE at one time. Box sushi, a representative Osaka sushi, was popular among Senba merchants during the Meiji era, and was popular as an intermission bento box at plays and as a gift. Demo flights of the Advanced Air Mobility aircraft will be conducted! eVTOL: Joby S4 Operator: ANA Holdings and Joby Aviation Estimated time of departure: Approx. 11:00 If you’d like to see the aircraft take off and land up close, please visit the Mobility Experience on the west side of the Expo site. While the aircraft is cruising, you’ll be able to see it in flight from various locations around the Expo site, including from the top of the Grand Ring, in front of the west gate, and the west group rest area. Be sure to take note of how quiet the Joby S4 is in flight. Please note – Flight schedules are approximate and subject to cancellation or change due to weather, aircraft maintenance, etc. – Crowding is expected during the demonstration flights. Explore engineering with paper cups! Powering vehicles with energy generated from wind
On the day of the event, participants will use a wind power generation kit to build the windmill part of the device using paper cups. Through trial and error, they will generate electricity with their own hands—and when that electricity powers a vehicle, it will surely be an unforgettable moment, especially for children. Our staff, who are involved in manufacturing on a daily basis, will be on hand to provide direct support, so anyone can participate with confidence. And for those who manage to build a windmill with high power generation efficiency… there might be a small surprise waiting for you! We encourage everyone to take on the challenge and have fun! Additional Information: The listed capacity refers to the maximum number of participants who can experience the activity at one time. Participants will be guided in sequence during the event hours, so there may be a wait during busy times. (Entry and exit during the event is allowed; approximately 100 participants in total are expected.)

Challenging the Creation of the Future: A Live Session with High School Students from Across Japan, Beyond 2030
SDGs leaders selected from “Mirai Koshien” regional competitions will come togather to address social issues beyond 2030. “Mirai Koshien” is a nationwide contest which high school students consider action ideas to tackle social issues to achieve SDGs. We will hold a live session filled with hope to open up the future. Business sectors and experts will present three themes (These are under consideration.) such as water issues, urban development, and ethical consumption to the students. The students who participate in “Miarai Koshien” will discuss these problems and generate solutions. Additionally, we will share the outcomes globally.

Demo flights of the Advanced Air Mobility aircraft will be conducted! eVTOL: Joby S4 Operator: ANA Holdings and Joby Aviation Estimated time of departure: Approx. 14:00 If you’d like to see the aircraft take off and land up close, please visit the Mobility Experience on the west side of the Expo site. While the aircraft is cruising, you’ll be able to see it in flight from various locations around the Expo site, including from the top of the Grand Ring, in front of the west gate, and the west group rest area. Be sure to take note of how quiet the Joby S4 is in flight. Please note – Flight schedules are approximate and subject to cancellation or change due to weather, aircraft maintenance, etc. – Crowding is expected during the demonstration flights. The experience is designed as a sensory journey, where past and future meet to affirm a resilient identity in constant reinvention.
