CS2 NVIDIA settings

You will find a zip with both files from here.

Create a folder somewhere and extract these 2 files.

Launch the nvidia profile inspector load the CS2.nip profile.

Press apply changes and OK.

Press OK and then Apply Changes and then close the app.

  • Launch the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL.
  • Navigate to Manage 3D Settings.
  • Click on Program Settings.
  • Find CS2 in the drop-down menu and select it.
  • Find the Max Frame Rate and then select a value.

I can comfortably do 550 (AVERAGE) FPS, so i will set 500 to keep it flat.

Keep in mind that if you wish the lowest possible latency your system can provide, you must use reflex and fps_max 0.

-noreflex and fps_max from the driver is purely for frametime consistency and not input lag.

Then press OK and Apply.

Do not change anything else.

The Scaling.

For the 5000 series GPUs, make sure use fullscreen and scale on the monitor instead of the GPU.

This depends on each monitor of course, but for the usual BENQ monitors, follow my settings.

For any other NVIDIA GPU than a 5xxx, feel free to scale on the GPU.

This is for 4:3 stretched resolutions

Launch Options.

Keep it simple.

+exec autoexec.cfg (if you have one)

-noreflex (keep the frametimes lower)

-threads 9 (if you have 8 PHYSICAL CPU cores)

The threads logic is simple.

How many PHYSICAL cores you have PLUS 1.

So, a 14900k has 8 PCORES. We do -threads 9

A 9800x3d has 8 CORES. We do -threads 9

Easy, right?

Ingame settings.

Boot up the game and head over to it’s video settings.

This image is purely for performance while maintaining some quality.

No matter what you do, always set DYNAMIC SHADOWS to ALL.

You can keep MSAA to 2X ot CMAA2. I can do 4X, so i will keep it like that.

BENQ Monitor Scaling

These settings will make CS2 look as usual without any blurriness.

Scaling on the monitor is a must for CS2 with a 5000series GPU.

If you do not scale on the monitor, then the text looks worse.
