We live in a world where everything is just a tap away friends, work, entertainment even our grocery lists. Cell phones once a luxury have now become extensions of ourselves while they bring us closer to the world they’re also silently pulling us away from our real lives.

Think about it how often do you pick up your phone without even realizing it? You’re waiting in line, your hand automatically reaches into your pocket. You’re bored for a second and suddenly you're scrolling through content you won’t remember later. It's no longer about staying connected it's about staying distracted.

This constant need to check our phones isn’t just a habit anymore it’s an addiction. Dopamine, the brain’s feel good chemical, gets released every time we get a notification, a like or a message. Over time, our brains crave that tiny hit of pleasure, making it harder and harder to put the phone down.

What’s worse is the way it impacts our relationships. We sit at dinner tables barely making eye contact because everyone’s staring at a screen. We go out to enjoy moments but spend more time capturing them for social media than actually living them.
