We need to bring back bullying in a big way. Specifically, that type of bullying that can only be found in Stephen King books where the bullies are basically murderers 😂

Literally aimed at 10-19 year olds. The western equivalent would be YA or younger. 20 is the age of majority in Japan... So... an adult is not the target demographic, no matter how people try to spin it.
Just because the BPCs surface level praise it doesn't mean that it's undeserving of its success, I doubt half of them even know a woman made Demon Slayer, otherwise they'd call it girl boss by default.
I’m guessing this is one of the few approved pieces of art from the anti-woke YouTube crowd. Because it’s not from Hollywood, which automatically means it’s good.
IMO Demon Slayer is just ok for a shonen series. It competently checks off the boxes needed to qualify but, for me, it’s just kind of there; I have no strong opinion about it one way or the other. I guess if anything, I look at it as the current gateway drug to get someone that’s a preteen or young teen into anime/manga that’s never experienced the genre before. It’s good enough to whet the appetite and leave them wanting to discover more and will be remembered fondly years down the road when they’ve discovered other, better series. But as a whole, there are far better animes/mangas out there. Then again, I’m someone who loves the anime of the 80s/90s, that period where so much was influenced by the look of Blade Runner and Heavy Metal magazine
Now I will agree there is a lot of cancer in the weeb community (Moe lovers) however I'm curious as to why your bringing specifically Demon Slayer (a kids show/movie) into this conversation. Did one of the Birthday Party Clowns bring it up or something? Or are you just having a little fun trolling?
I watched the first episode of Demon Slayer, just to see what the fuss was all about, but I got maybe halfway through. The sheer volume of internal monologuing killed it for me.
I’m not gonna pretend this isn’t SOP for Zack, but I’m surprised he’s going off on something so inoffensive.
I guess this is something I’ll just have to disagree with him on.
I really dislike the chibi baby heads, the "save little sister" storyline, and Zenitsu is such an irritating character, people are more likely to give up on the show the longer he's on screen. Those are all common criticisms of the show that I can get behind.
I'm not the target audience, but I can still appreciate the animation on a technical level. I can forgive so much for hype animation, and I will eventually see this movie.
