Software Engineer/Software Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation

🌟 After 22 years of bleeding Intel blue (and occasionally pulling my hair out over SW/HW mysteries), it’s time for a new adventure. Today is my last day at Intel, marking the close of an extraordinary chapter. Over these years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the brightest minds across three continents, tackling challenging and innovative projects. A few highlights from my personal “Intel Greatest Hits Album”: • Mastering ATCA telecom products (3G RNC, WiMAX) with IXP processors - my first ARM encounter happening at Intel (oh, the irony!) • Developing the ATCA single board computer Whippany/MPCBL0050 based on Xeons – later named Telecommunication Product of the Year and powering Japan’s IPTV network • Establishing BIOS development in Gdańsk and leading the shift from legacy BIOS to UEFI in client PCs • Building the Connected Home Division presence in Gdańsk (cable gateways, routers) • Riding the AI wave with Neural Processing Unit development • Going “shift left” with IP models for the Simics hardware simulator And some “Intel Hall of Fame Moments” I was lucky to witness firsthand: • Unmatched leadership in semiconductor manufacturing for years • Intel ranking among the most valuable companies worldwide • Building one of the most iconic brands in tech • Xeon processors sending Sun Microsystems and SGI to the history books • Making WiFi mainstream with Centrino • The legendary Core Duo vs AMD battle • Convincing Apple to move from PowerPC to Intel I remain optimistic that Intel will find its way back to such heights (recent Nvidia news is a good reminder of what’s possible). As a shareholder, I certainly have a vested interest in that success! To everyone I’ve worked with: thank you. This has been an incredible professional adventure – exploring cutting-edge technology, collaborating across borders, and building lasting relationships. I’m deeply grateful for the journey. Onward to the next chapter 🚀
