history
His fighting style is characterized by a full-scale heavyweight style centered around powerful chops and throws, and he makes full use of a series of sharp, heavy "horizontal chops" that are powerful enough to turn his opponent's chest red, as well as suplex-type throws such as "Limit Break." Another attraction is his dignified way of conducting his matches, which embodies his sense of responsibility and fighting spirit as a symbol of NOAH , as symbolized by his slogan, "I am NOAH ."
2004
He made his debut against Takashi Sugiura on July 24th. His large build and power make him a bright prospect.
2005-2013
Despite being young, he was involved in the top ranks and experienced overseas tours. He steadily grew, winning the GHC Tag and GHC Heavyweight Championships for the first time. He left NOAH at the end of 2012 and has been working as a freelancer ever since. In 2013, he joined All Japan Pro Wrestling.
2015
In January, he became the Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. At the end of September, he left All Japan Pro Wrestling. On November 20th, he attended a Korakuen Hall event and appealed to return to NOAH. On November 26th, he began competing in NOAH as a freelancer.
2016
In June, he officially rejoined NOAH and returned to the GHC Championship ranks.
2018
In December, he formed the unit "AXIZ" with Katsuhiko Nakajima and won the GHC Tag Team Championship.
2020
On January 4th, he defeated Kaito Kiyomiya to become the GHC Heavyweight Champion for the fourth time. His catchphrase "I am NOAH" became a hot topic. He went on to defend the title against Kazuyuki Fujita, Naomichi Marufuji, Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, and Takashi Sugiura, achieving his sixth consecutive title reign.
2021
Although he lost to Keiji Muto at the Nippon Budokan event on February 12th and lost the title, the match won the Best Bout Award at the Pro Wrestling Awards sponsored by Tokyo Sports.
2024
In January, he formed the new unit TEAM NOAH and once again aimed to become the center of Noah. He also played an active role as a main player in the new brand "LIMIT BREAK".
2025
On January 13th in Yokohama, he announced that he would be taking a long break for "maintenance." On July 19th, he appeared at the "Pro Wrestling NOAH 25th Anniversary Tournament" at Korakuen Hall and announced that he would be returning in August. He faced ALL REBELLION Haruto Nozomi for a spot in "N-1 VICTORY 2025," but was defeated. Expectations are high for a comeback from "Powerful Arm."
