The marketing hack that changed my medical writing business.
I never had an idea what marketing was all about — until a random hack started bringing in my dream clients.
I have a thriving freelance medical writing business, and LinkedIn is my leads-generating machine.
But it wasn’t always so.
I remember the days when I sent out pitches continuously, and they landed up in a void.
No responses, no prospects, no business.
It took me some (rather long) time to understand that if I continued this random experiment, I would soon lose hope and quit.
So I started observing profiles of successful freelance writers.
What were they doing, that I wasn’t?
Every day I would sit down at my desk with my cup of tea, and break down the profiles, one at a time. After analyzing around 30 profiles, I started noticing a pattern.
Their profiles were highly solution-focused — they highlighted their services and the results they have brought to their clients.
Their posts were in a certain order. They discussed problems clients face in their area of expertise and provided ready solutions—but without spilling all the beans.
