45 years ago, I would work all day then upon arriving home we would do the changing of the guard. My wife, the mom of our then 6 month old baby, would pass him to me and I would tend to the child, make our supper and do all the baby maintenance until our bedtime. This allowed her to recharge her batteries for the next day. On alternating nights we would each be on listening watch to respond to our infant child's needs in the middle of the night. Easy peasy. The routine developed through out our marriage where as much as possible I would pickup the evening routines for the family.

I'm sure I wasn't the only father in Canada on this type of shared responsibility.

My friend and former colleague of 20 years won't be celebrating gender equality. She became the successful DEI-hire. She's the VP for BC region being paid $78,000....for a job that paid 6-figure in the 1990s. She's not happy and knows she's being scammed by a well known Canadian company. I decided to downsize my career and work as a blue collar worker in government.....i earn what she earns but in fact i can take a lateral promotion doing exactly what I'm doing now and earn $102,000 per year....blowing her salary out of the water.

DEI is a scam to suppress wages. You ain't getting paid what merit-based hires were paid. So celebrate and dance like you mean to celebrate.

· ~ So correct, the female side of the working business realm are not getting same annually income entitlements, sure sure*, for minimum wage deals, all are getting same under paid values, but the pseudo qualifications tend to be controlled and restricted, sure she may get 100,000, and he may get 100,000, but in the final hour, she gets 99,000, and he weighs in with a fascinating 110,000, how so? because the title label is difference in nuances, he's 'The Manger' of accounting, shes 'Manger' of accounting, thats all it takes to change the outcome of the financial applicated values rendered,

· ~ Sorry, you're 'Misses' Nurse, he is 'Mister' Nurse, no? he is Master nurse of the order, she is only princess of the nursery order, so ye would have to seek out the actual statistics to find same job title, and clarify the annual pay out, nipping the ego sum, by climbing the ladders so not to pay attention to the discrepancies,

This claptrap produced by WAGE simply ignores facts. There are more women than men accessing post secondary educational opportunities with women representing the majority (about 60%) of undergraduate and college students. This is a trend first reported in the 1990’s. The numbers clearly show that this equality myth is just that, a myth. Yes, there is a gender imbalance, but it favours women over men and the gap is increasing.

While not as pronounced as student populations, female faculty outnumber men in many fields. The result is a majority of women now have a higher level of educational attainment than men and the results can be seen in the workforce and by societal metrics. As an example, look at where the education system is. Who is delivering and deciding what should and shouldn’t be taught?
