Did you know that cocoa is one of Indonesia’s key export products with a major economic impact? Cocoa is cultivated across various regions, with Sulawesi being one of the country’s largest production centers.
The strong economic value of cocoa is also expected to help improve the quality of life for the people of Sulawesi. One initiative working toward this goal is GrowHer Kakao, a multi-stakeholder program dedicated to empowering women in the cocoa value chain in South Sulawesi.
Through sustainable practices, gender equality, and agricultural innovation, this program demonstrates how empowering women farmers can boost productivity while advancing sustainable cocoa farming. GrowHer is led by Grow Asia, Mars, Save the Children Indonesia, and PISAgro, featured at the Women Pavilion, Expo 2025 Osaka (15/9).
