矢口高雄は自身のエピソードをマンガとして大量に残しているのだが、それにしてもこの水彩の技がどこから来たのか未だにわからない。上手いことはみんな知ってると思うが、見返すと異常に上手い。同時代の他のカラー原稿のレベルと較べると驚嘆させられる。

鳥山明の見逃せない功績として「モンスターを魅力的に可愛くキャラクター化できた」というのは挙げておきたい。できなかったのである。そんなことができると誰も思っていなかった。鳥山明はめちゃんこ絵が上手いからできたのだが、あまりにあっさりやってしまったので皆その凄さに気づいてないと思う

何回も書いてるが、これもっと流行ってくれ、流行れば性能が上がって価格も下がって、デザインも洗練されて、みんな見慣れるので工事じゃなくても着られるようになる。流行れ。渋谷や原宿の女子高生が着るようになれ。毎日暑くてかなわん。
