パトカーが自転車レーンを避けて路駐をしてたので、警官の方に「こちらの停め方が正しい方法ですか？」と尋ねたところ、「前方の車の停め方が正しいと思われがちですが、本当はこちらが正解なんです」と教えていただいた。だけど直感的には抵抗があるw

マレーシア人は時間にルーズだと言われますけど、退社時間は正確ですよ。

デサスリにとても美味しい韓国料理店を見つけてしまった。夜の部は5時開店なのに、6時前には既に満席。それ以降は並ばないと入れない。特に白菜のキムチは、今までマレーシアで食べた中でも一番の美味しさ。これおかわり自由なの神。

マレーシアで英語のリスニング力を上げたいと思ったら、FMラジオを聴くと良いです。BFM, HITS, MIX, liteの4局は英語放送している。ノンネイティブが聴き取りやすいスピードで話しているし、変なアクセントもない。アメリカ人みたいに幾つもの単語を繋げてレロレロレロ〜って喋らないし。

都知事は、都内の家がほぼ狭小住宅で日当たりも悪いという事実をご存知ないのですね。

マレーシアファミマのプリンの蓋を開けたらウイスキーを並々注いでまた蓋をして冷蔵庫へ。数時間寝かせてから食べてみてください。大人のデザートなので良い子は真似しないでね。

今年買ってよかったものベスト１ Xiaomiのロボット掃除機。上向きのカメラでマッピングしながら部屋中ムラなく掃除を遂行。モップ機能で水拭きまでしてくれるから白タイルの床がツルピカになる。おまけになんと、Hey Siriでコントロール可能なんだぜっ！これで2万円でお釣りが来るってどゆこと？

自宅隔離申請についてですが、長期滞在VISAをお持ちの方はTEMPORARY RESIDENTを選ぶんだと思います。NON MALAYSIAN を選んでしまうと、「この人MyEntryで入国承認取ってないじゃないか、申請却下！」になってしまうのでしょう。

案の定。マレーシアの水は硬いという人がいるけど、感覚的には軟水だと思ってました。紅茶の葉に熱湯を注ぐとすぐに紅くなるし、口に含んだ時も硬さは感じられない。試験紙を買って測ってみたら、やはり軟水です。試験紙が沢山余ってるんだけどどうしよう

社会構造的にいろいろと問題があるのが原因でしょうけど、一番は工事に必要な労働力をほぼ全て外国人に頼っていることでしょう。あんなに安い賃金と最低の生活環境で、マレーシアのために真面目に働くなど考えられません。

マレーシアに居た7年の間に行われた国政選挙は５回、全て在外投票をしました。今回の参院選も在外選挙人証を使って投票します。「文句は投票してから言え」

金曜日が給料日だったのを思い出して、気を大きくして鰻重奮発。蒲焼と白焼のハーフハーフや〜。わさびを頼んで白焼き堪能しました。

某お祝い事だったので、夫婦でVantadorに行ってきた。牛肉とワインだけでお腹パンパンになるまで飲み喰らう。熟成スペイン産牛は、脂身が少なくて噛みごたえがあって、年寄りには和牛よりも食べやすい。寿司屋でおまかせコース食べるより安かった。

搭乗時にCAさんと雑談中に「今日本帰国なんです」と話したら、着陸前にサプライズされてしまった。こういうの恥ずかしいから苦手なんよ。でも妻が喜んでました。
