President Trump on Friday night touted “inspired and productive discussions” focused around Israel’s military conflict in Gaza, just days after blaming other countries for setting back his efforts.

“Intense negotiations have been going on for four days, and will continue for as long as necessary in order to get a Successfully Completed Agreement,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“All of the Countries within the Region are involved, Hamas is very much aware of these discussions, and Israel has been informed at all levels, including Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu,” he added. “There is more Goodwill and Enthusiasm for getting a Deal done, after so many decades, than I have ever seen before. Everyone is excited to put this period of Death and Darkness behind them.”

Trump told the United Nations on Tuesday that he was “deeply engaged in seeking a ceasefire in Gaza” amid increasing international condemnation over the war.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas virtually addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday, during which the conflict a “war of genocide, destruction, starvation, and displacement.” The State Department said in August that it would block the visas of the Palestinian delegation ahead of the U.N. gathering.

U.N. delegates critical of Israel’s continued military operation in Gaza boycotted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Friday speech.

Netanyahu rejected claims of genocide in his remarks, which he said was broadcast to Palestinians’ cellphones and to loudspeakers aimed toward the Gaza Strip. The prime minister said that if Hamas, the governing body of the Gaza Strip, agreed to surrender, the war could immediately end.
