It's boring & in yer face, man. A person's sexuality is their own private business, but so many in the Gay community desire special attention for self-importance. I've alot of Gay friends (Male & Female) & they don't behave like that. They cringe at others that do.

Being boastful will always lose the interest of others & single themselves out as being an avoidable gobshite!

They're not normalising anything by singling themselves out as being Gay as a badge of honour – 'Pride'. Nobody cares if they are Gay or not?!

I don't run around screaming from the hilltops that i'm straight & don't do dick, but Gay lads are so quick to needlessly come out with attention-seeking guff like:

"Hi, i'm Peter & i'm Gay…"

"Nobody cares, Peter – now fuck-off…"

Gay protagonist here so far only been used to depict his casual happy-go-lucky romance.

As for humour, it's better than average sitcoms where live-audience laugh.

As for deluge of non-straight characters in films/series, market dictates terms.

I think they are trying to normalize the gay culture. Even in todays world people still think that those who are gay are just pretending to be one or they are mentally sick. Gays are the minority wherever they are so they are always prone to oppression. Power structures always work this way.

So true…. that's an Unfortunate Reality. 🙁

Seriously, why does that lad being Gay matter a fuck to anyone?

If it was penned:

"It follows Evan, a Straight high school English teacher…" – there would be a fucking uproar amongst the LGBT+1000 community & shallow Hollywood actresses seeking the limelight to get their name mentioned because their career has nose-dived!
