I think the hardest thing for me to believe is the guy who encourages people to meme him as an active shooter cares about America as a country.

I haven’t seen the video but it feels like a real unforced and kind of desperate error to make a 45 minute completely serious video on this. Ruins his mystique and makes it clear how much of his “I’m a crazy racist who gives no fucks” persona is crafted and artificial.
He tried to do his schtick and makes his fuckass tongue in cheek jokes throughout but at the end of the day when you have to summarize the vid it's a 45 minute video where Sam Hyde aires his gripes about immigrants in America and no one can say otherwise

But now it seems media outlets believe that canceling far right creators and embracing identity politics leads to less views. They’re going to follow the money even if it means platforming nazis. We need to show them it’s not worth it financially.

I think your point about strategy is interesting. When you say right-wing the basis of that spectrum (afaik) is economic-right (capitalist), which is most of the western world. That system suits the right-wing very well, which is why they can use strategies like what Musk has done with Twitter.
It's quite hard for the left to work against that without using similar strategies to promote their own ideals. The dangers of the influence of social media are more and more becoming apparent as they can be manipulated sort of like regular media, except by companies, not governments.
Anyhow, I don't really know who Sam Hyde is, nor do I feel like real "nazis" are being public about it these days. Maybe online, but I would assume it's a loud minority. Good to stay very cautious of nonetheless though, no platform should allow nazism to exist.
