Code of conduct? #1913

@ddevault

Description

@ddevault

What do you need?

Have you considered adding a code of conduct for this project, and establishing processes for dealing with toxic behavior? The contributor covenant is a useful place to start.

Allow me a toxic comment: can we avoid that CoC crap altogether? We don't need paperwork to police people in an open source project.

@fabean

Would starting an online attack campaign to remove funding from the open source project be considered toxic behavior?

Disgustingly toxic behavior... from his own blog, labelling this project as fascist...

Imaging having the balls to come here and propose a CoC when you publicly call the creator of the project a "Omarchy is the pet project of David Heinemeier Hansson, aka DHH, who is well known as a rich fascist weirdo".

Looks like a clear bait to me, in the sense of: you 100% know DHH will most likely not implement a CoC, but that just lets you weirdo go around calling DHH out for not implementing a CoC. "DHH IS BAD, DOESNT IMPLEMENT A COC".

This is not the 3D Chess you think it is. It's as obv. as a childs plot to steal some sweets.

@ddevault You guys (politically engaged) have too much time on your hands to create problems where none exist.

Bullshit. Close this shitty politically-driven bullshit issue. The Omarchy project is not meant to be political, it is a fucking OS distribution.

have YOU considered not beign a fucking parasite and establishing processes for really collaborating with projects in a useful way instead of the bullshit that is a code of conduct?

This clown is clearly looking for material for his pathetic blog. Follow their stupid idea that 'everyone I disagree with is a nazi' kind of bullshit. We're all 'fascists' now 😆😆.

Sadly, part of the tech community has become so dumb. Let's kick these ideas out of here straight to the trash bin, and don't forget to empty it.

You’re basically a parasite with way too much free time.
Honestly, Omarchy’s entire code of conduct could just be one line:
Don’t be a fucking loser like Drew.

Nice to see that everybody hates this POS.

Everyone does, but when you say things like that it gives the OP power by enabling them to feel like a victim. This -- however minor -- is not something that should be granted to such people.

I assume everyone here understands what wokist ideology actually is (continuation of beliefs that took root in the 1930s in a certain country that shall remain unnamed, with some p**ophilia sprinkled in). When you engage these walking embodiments of misery & evil (because make no mistake -- this is what they are: evil; not insane, but pure, genuine, unadulterated evil) you grant them an audience. The only way to try to save sane segments of society is to not engage them at all.

We used to think this is an issue that only affected the westernized first world, but that is no longer true; this cancer is making its way over into the third world as well and every one of us (globally) needs to make an effort to stop it before it metastasizes and takes over the planet. There is no ideology in existence among humans -- not now nor has there ever been in the past -- that is more sinister than what these groups are pushing. And you see them at every layer of society, including even small open source projects like this. The way to defeat them is to simply not engage, but do our own thing to make our part of humanity better in the hopes that our children will be able to enjoy it if sanity & normalcy prevail (because the alternative is the end of humanity as we know it -- which is the ultimate underlying goal of wokism: transhumanism for a select few and plantationization for the rest).

People who love the idea of a code of conduct hate it if it's like the sqlite's code of conduct.

vannaxpjf

vannaxpjf commented on Sep 26, 2025

@vannaxpjf

CoC fanboys like the vile OP only want them so they and others like them can lord it over people, and police their language, ban people, etc, and the great irony is that they are so self-unaware that they go around calling others fascists. They are truly demented people, not sane, and in fact, very dangerous.
