HISTORIC 1984 Original Photo DA BULLS Introduce MICHAEL JORDAN Rookie PSA Starting Bid 99 cents !!! .... Absolutely NO RESERVE !!! DESCRIPTION INTRODUCING : Michael Jeffrey Jordan Attention vintage basketball photography collectors: THIS is a MONSTER piece. Obtained from the files of a former employee of United Press International (UPI) in Chicago, IL is this "ONE-of-a-KIND" photograph made from the original negative and used on September 12, 1984 to report that the Chicago Bulls have introduced their new rookie star to the world, Michael Jeffrey Jordan. While upon first glance, this appears to be a wire photo but it is not. Look closely and you will see that it is special. This offered photograph is "ONE-of-a-KIND" and was used by UPI to transmit the depicted image to media subscribers and other news bureaus around the nation that would create the "wire photo" on the other end of a transmission . The teletype caption on top is a separate strip that was typed by a photo clerk or photo editor then glued to the top of the photo (i.e. this is THE Original PROOF that was placed into the wire machine at UPI's Chicago office that would transmit the "image" via wire. On the receiving end, whether it be UPI's San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York's office, they would receive the "wire photo"). This 8” x 10” photograph has been authenticated
