Come Back Alive about Ukraine DAO

“You may have noticed that Come Back Alive uses cryptocurrency wallets alongside standard bank accounts. After the full-scale Russian invasion, alternative fundraising methods play an essential role in supporting our army. The crypto community has organized several crowdfunding events to support the military and proved that cryptocurrencies had become not just a new technology but an effective method of protecting democratic values. Since February 24, we have raised almost $ 24 million in different cryptocurrencies. Funds are used for the needs of our defenders. So our team would like to recognize those who help protect our defenders' lives. We thank Partners in the Crypto сommunity Ukraine DAO, Pray4Ukraine, Operation Sunflower, Reli3f, Tokens 4 Cause and others for contributing to Ukraine's victory and raising the awareness of international society about the Russian-Ukrainian war. Only by joint efforts will we be able to win and bring victory to Ukraine!”

The 1550.5 ETH donation became the largest donation in Come Back Alive’s history.
Apart from financial help, we've been actively working with CBA in various other ways, mainly including information & translation support.
In our video “Why Did You Stay in Ukraine?” released in collaboration with Come Back Alive, Ukrainian soldiers open up and share why they stayed behind to fight for their country. Read the full story here.

Taras Chmut, the head of Come Back Alive about Ukraine DAO

- What is the largest donation to CBA? - Probably $4m in crypto from Ukraine DAO. I don't remember others, to be honest. There are some companies that give smaller amounts on a regular basis, but more often it’s not a one-off. And their total amount may be higher. But the one-off one seems to be this one. - Taras Chmut, the head of Come Back Alive Foundation

MEDIA PROJECTS

“Why Did You Stay in Ukraine?”

If your home was under attack, would you stay behind to fight?
In a video released by the “Come Back Alive” Foundation and Ukraine DAO, soldiers open up and share why they stayed behind to fight for their country. Everyone’s reasons are different and yet are profoundly the same; they love their country and will do whatever it takes to save it.
One man didn’t want his children to be born in a shelter; another was following in his grandfather’s footsteps to fight fascism. A third one wants his family to be able to return from Europe. All of them are giving everything to keep their homes.
This is the first step in a campaign highlighting the courage of Ukrainians who decided not to leave, but to the ones who stayed.
Through this effort, Come Back Alive and Ukraine DAO want to share their stories and show the power and determination of those choosing to remain behind in dangerous situations months into the war.
