Special Traffic News
- Due to tropical cyclone, the arrangements of public transport services are as follows:
MTR
• Rail service has been gradually resumed
• After clearing debris from tracks and repaired damaged equipment, Light Rail service on Routes 507 and 610 has resumed normal.
• Tai Hing (North), Tai Hing (South) and Ngan Wai stops are back in service.
• The MTR Bus service resumed
• The close-out time of In-town Check-in service at Hong Kong Station is adjusted to 120 minutes before scheduled flight departure time
KMB & LWB
Over 80 KMB and LWB Routes have resumed services. Most of the remaining KMB and LWB Routes will be resumed at 22:20hrs. Late night and Overnight Routes will operate as usual.
Owing to road conditions, some routes will be diverted, truncated or may take longer time to resume. The following routes will continue to be suspended:

- Due to malfunction of traffic lights at the junction of King's Road and Fortress Hill Road, motorists are advised to drive with utmost care when passing through the road junctions, pay extra attention to the traffic signs and safety of pedestrians. Pedestrians please pay attention to vehicles when crossing junctions with malfunctioned traffic lights.
- Due to fallen tree/ fallen scaffolding/ flooding / landslide, the following road sections have been temporarily closed:
Hong Kong Island
– all lanes of Hospital Road (both bounds) near Bonham Road
Kowloon
– the only lane of the slip road leading from Lung Cheung Road to Po Kong Village Road (Kwun Tong bound)
New Territories
– all lanes of Bride's Pool Road (both bounds) near Chung Pui
– all lanes of Wing Shun Street (both bounds) near Tsuen Wan Abattoir
– all lanes of Yeung King Road (both bounds)
The following road sections which were closed due to fallen tree/ fallen scaffolding/ flooding / landslide are re-opened:

- Due to improved weather condition, the following arrangements have been implemented on cycle track and footpath of Cross Bay Bridge at Tseung Kwan O:
Members of the public heading for Cross Bay Bridge are advised that the cycle track and footpath of Cross Bay Bridge have been re-opened.
- The C3 entrances/exits of Kwun Tong Station closed earlier have resumed normal.
- The 16 pedestrian subways along Sha Tin Shing Mun River, Tai Po Lam Tsuen River, and Tai Po River that were temporarily closed last night in response to severe weather and storm surges, have reopened.
- Due to improved weather condition, the following special traffic and transport arrangements have been implemented on Hong Kong Zhuhai-Macao-Bridge (HZMB) Main Bridge and Hong Kong Zhuhai-Macao-Bridge Hong Kong Link Road (HZMB HKLR):

- Lantau Link:
Due to strong wind, the following temporary traffic measure is implemented on Lantau Link:
The speed limit of Lantau Link is reduced to 50km/h.
Ting Kau Bridge:
The temporary speed limit arrangement which was implemented before in the Ting Kau Bridge is cancelled.
Stonecutters Bridge:
The Middle lane closure and temporary speed limit arrangements which were implemented before in the Stonecutters Bridge are cancelled.
Members of the public are advised to watch out for the latest traffic news through radio and television broadcasts, and for the traffic signs on site.

- Due to hoisting of Strong Wind Signal No. 3 and the associated wet weather, Transport Department appeals motorists and the commuters to:
i. pay attention to the special traffic and transport arrangements may be implemented;
ii. pay attention to the possible traffic congestions of the roads;
iii. plan the journey in advance;
iv. allow more traveling time to cater for delay;
v. drive with extra care and patience; and
vi. take heed of traffic situation particularly at busy junctions with obstructive views.

- As informed by Mainland Railway Authorities, High Speed Rail train service between Hong Kong and the Mainland after 18:00 on 23 Sep 2025 and on 24 Sep 2025 have been cancelled due to expected adverse weather conditions.
For ticket refunds, please refer to the High Speed Rail website and process within the time stated. Please use the 12306 official website (12306. cn) or mobile app and there is no need to rush to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.
- To facilitate the arrangement of setting up a traffic coordination depot for the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, the entire 7/F and 8/F (including 77 numbers of EV charging facilities) of Rumsey Street Carpark will be temporarily closed to the public from 2 October 2025 to 30 December 2025.
Affected motorists can continue to use the parking facilities on 1/F to 6/F of Rumsey Street Car Park or make use of other car parks in the vicinity during the above period. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with care and patience.

· Self-service Ticket Machines: bring valid and original travel documents of all passengers; only e-payment methods are accepted (for example, contactless credit cards, WeChat Pay or Alipay)

- All drivers heading to Sha Tin or Tai Po on Shing Mun Tunnel Road (Sha Tin Bound) will be required to merge from the slow lane into the fast lane. Motorists should pay attention and follow the new road configuration, directional signs, road marking and traffic signs to drive carefully. Please refer to the Traffic Advice for details of the temporary traffic arrangement.
