Warnings:
Hurricane force winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Shanwei,
south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao. Storm force winds in
Nan'ao.
Weather Situation:
At 5 a.m., Super Typhoon Ragasa with maximum sustained winds
of about 195 kilometres per hour near its centre was located
at 21.2 degrees north, 114.3 degrees east. It is forecast to
move west or west-northwest at about 22 kilometres per hour
edging closer to the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary to
the western coast of Guangdong.

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
Northeast force 11 to 12, becoming southeast force 12.
Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms.
Very high to phenomenal seas.
Nan'ao:
Southeast force 7 to 8, force 10 at first.
Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms.
Rough to very rough seas, high at first.
Shanwei:
South to southeast force 10 to 11, force 12 at first.
Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms.
High to very high seas, phenomenal at first.
South of Hong Kong:
Cyclonic force 12, becoming south force 12.
Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms.
Phenomenal seas.
Shangchuan Dao:
North to northwest force 10 to 11, becoming cyclonic force
12.
Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms.
High to very high seas, becoming phenomenal.
Outlook for the following 48 hours
East to southeasterly winds of force 6 to 7, southerly winds
of up to force 11 at first. Frequent heavy squally showers
and thunderstorms.
