天文台宣布將於周二下午懸掛八號烈風或暴風信號，九巴及龍運正加緊巡視各巴士總站及巴士站，做好防風措施，包括固定巴士站牌、排隊鐵欄，及加固站長室玻璃窗等；同時已識別部份塌樹或水浸黑點，並預先制定風暴前後的服務安排。九巴及龍運會與政府部門保持緊密聯絡，適時更新最新服務資訊，乘客可使用九巴及龍運網頁www.kmb.hk及智能手機應用程式App1933查詢詳情。
周二（9月23日）服務方面，九巴及龍運將於天文台宣布懸掛八號信號的時間前兩小時起調動資源，加強服務應對乘客需求，方便市民返回家中；大部分路線將於八號信號生效後約兩小時內陸續暫停服務；部分路線包括九巴路線B1、B9，龍運路線S1、S64系列將於八號信號生效期間維持有限度服務。
此外，因應教育局宣布周二及周三學校停課，九巴下列學校路線及特別班次將於周二及周三（9月23日、24日）暫停服務或有所調整︰

The Hong Kong Observatory has announced the Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 will be hoisted on Tuesday afternoon. KMB and LWB are taking precautionary measures, such as inspecting the bus termini and bus stops, securing bus stop poles and queue barriers, and reinforcing glass windows in terminus supervisors offices. Our staff has also identified areas prone to flooding or fallen trees and have prepared service plans for before and after the storm. KMB and LWB will closely communicate with the authorities and update the latest service information in time. Passengers may visit KMB and LWB website www.kmb.hk or App1933 for details.
For services on Tuesday (23 September), KMB and LWB will mobilise resources to strengthen services starting from two hours before the time Typhoon Signal No. 8 is hoisted announced by the Hong Kong Observatory, to cope with the passenger demand and facilitate passengers returning home. Once the Typhoon Signal No. 8 is in effect, most of the routes will be suspended gradually within two hours, while KMB Routes B1, B9 and LWB Routes S1, S64-series will still maintain limited services.
In addition, as the Education Bureau has announced the suspension of schools on Tuesday and Wednesday (23-24 September), the following KMB school routes and special departures will be suspended or temporarily adjusted on those days:

3D (special departures to Tsz Wan Shan (South) and 07:00, 07:25 departures from Tsz Wan Shan (South)), 3M (special departures to Tsz Wan Shan (South)), 5C (special departures from Yuk Wah Street), 13M (special departures to Kwun Tong Station), 14D, 17 (special departures from Kowloon Bay Station and Richland Gardens), 23 (special departure from Shun Tin), 28S, 214 (special departures from Po Tat), 214P
Headway of Route 7B (Hung Hom (Hung Luen Road)-bound) departures between 14:55 and 15:55 will be temporarily adjusted to 30 minutes (except when the Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 is in force).
