前の職場で、あまりに年配の社員にビニ傘をパクられるもんだから「社長」って書いたテプラ貼ったら若い社員がみんな真似して、そのうち会社のビニ傘のほとんどが社長用になった。そして当の社長は全部自分のになって困惑していた。

オリンピックの開会式でなにより驚いたのは、「égalité」=平等のパートで聖火をもった顔のないキャラクターがルーヴル美術館に到達したとき、サン=サーンスの「死の舞踏」が流れたこと。 先週のブラックペアン2でも使っていたので、知っている人もそれなりにいたのではないだろうか。

東京ミッドタウンのフジフィルムスクエアの細江英公の展覧会すごかったー！！ 何がすごいって、作家が当時制作したヴィンテージプリントが展示されてること。細江作品は後年プリントも多数あるのでこんなもの滅多に見れない。超レアな機会なのでぜひ見てほしい。

テーマやコンセプトについて話し合う中でリサーチの不足を指摘すると、しばしば「本を読むのが苦手なので」と言われる。 そういう写真は、得てして撮ることに悦びを感じているだけだったり、撮ってからなんかしらのコンセプトを付与しようとしているパターンが多い。

東京ステーションギャラリーで明日から始まる安井仲治展。 安井のことは学生の時から散々資料収集をしたり調べてよく知っている写真家ではあるけれど、今回の展覧会はとても見応えがある。 先んじて秋に名古屋展も見たのだが、会場が変わると見え方も全然変わるものだ。

三島が自決したために『男の死』は出せなくなったと篠山はこれまでも説明してきて、それは写真家も出版社も当然の判断だったと思うけれど、 色々深掘りしていくと、三島は確実に自決とともに刊行してほしいと思っていた だから、三島由紀夫の死はこれでやっと完結すると僕は思う

4月1日付で九州産業大学、同大学院の非常勤講師に就任しました。 遠隔地教員なので季節ごとの集中講義になりますが、これまで主に担当者してきた歴史モノの講義でなく、請け負う3コマとも現代写真の講義なので楽しみです！

自分たちが作ったものが好きだ嫌いだ言われんのは楽しいよなぁ☺️ 否定派がなにを求めていたのかも手に取るようにわかる。 しかし一ついえるのは、カメラ雑誌作ってるわけでも『日本カメラ』作ってるわけでもないということ。かといってスノッブを狙ってもいない。素敵な写真雑誌作ろうとしているだけ。

8月11日にオープンするRICOH肝いりのあらたなアート空間GRスペースのオープニングへ。 写真集のライブラリーと展示スペース、カフェを備えた空間は、GRのイメージカラーのグレーで統一され落ち着いた雰囲気。

こういう仕事をしていると、作品ステートメントを添削してほしいと言われることがある。 そもそもわたしはもの書きなので、日本語の校正をすることはできる。しかし、そういう人にかぎって、だいたいこちらに求めているのはチェックではなく、書き直しやそれに類する提案だったりする。
