Not disagreeing with that. That's basically what DBZ indeed is about.

As already stated Shounen is a lot more than just DBZ and JJK, those aren't the only Shounen animes. My problem with OP isn't that he dislikes DBZ but implied with the OP text and pic that watching any Shounen makes you a shitskin and also that there's something inherently bad about Shounen but above all the idea that if one watches any Shounen then one should for some inexplicable reason ignore the fact NGE is often people's first anime - - that just doesn't make sense. NGE is indeed usually the first anime, or one of the very first animes, that people new to anime watch. Whether someone watches Shounen or not doesn't, and can't, change that reality.

But even if we change OP's text to ">watches DBZ" then that likewise also has no bearing on that reality; people watching DBZ doesn't somehow magically change the fact that NGE is often the first anime people see when they decide to get into anime. OP's text could've said ">watches pokemon" or whatever, any anime - - doesn't change that reality. That's the whole point here, it's a dumb post that doesn't make any sense.

Peoples first bikes tend to be bikes with stabilizer wheels.
Pointing that out is simply stating a truth.
What brand of motorcycle the guy stating that truth owns (whether a common brand like Honda or not) is entirely unconnected and irrelevant.
He may as well be riding a horse: stabilized bikes are still babby's first bicycle.

In that manner your post is fundamentally illogical and does not make sense, which is why it was received so poorly.

I suspect OP didn't know (maybe now he does) what "babby's first" means when he made the thread. That he's one of those kids who sees all words and terms as meaning just "good" or "bad", like children seeing the word "based" think it means "good" or likewise think the word "Aryan" just means "good" and use it that way, and when seeing something described as "powerful" as in for example someone saying "Song 1 is more powerful than Song 2" and that sort of kid thinking that means "this song is better" – they lack the ability to understand meanings of words, case-in-point a song can be more powerful, have more power in it, than another song, but that doesn't mean the other song is inferior; the less powerful song might be the better-made one, but this seemingly braindamaged kid who only thinks "good/bad" can't understand that so he gets super triggered at seeing someone say "Song 1 is more powerful than Song 2" and starts hyperseething about how Song 1 "is not better, waaaah!!!" etc, entirely failing to understand what "more powerful" even means and he just read it as "better".

So likely what's going on here is we've got an OP who saw "babby's first" being used in negative-sounding contexts, and thus he categorized it in his head as "babby's first = BAD" and never gave it any further thought. Something indicating he really doesn't understand words is his reply here >>107958 to this >>107957 – notice he responded "Eva is more than just…" in reaction to reading "Shounen is a LOT more than just DBZ…" as if he thought that meant "DBZ is more than just…" especially since he went on this say >>107962 (him doubling-down on thinking the post said "DBZ is more than just…" when it was saying there's more in the category shounen than DBZ and JJK) so it seems he has a problem not only with understanding what words mean but when he reads sentences their meanings change in his head.
