うちの前の道を保育園のお散歩団体が通ると、猫たちはこどもたちと交信する。今日うちの表札を見た先生が、きっとミロちゃんとコマちゃんとチコちゃんなんだよーって言って、ミロちゃんバイバーイ、かわいいー、また通るねー、とか言われてて、盗み聞きしてるわたしはひとりで照れてる。

なんとなんと我が家に兄弟猫がやってきたー！埼玉の保護団体の方から引き取りました。名前はスイカ頭(左)とテンテン(右)です。みなさまよろしく〜。

NHK Eテレ『コレナンデ商会』が3/31で最終回を迎えます。 お店を描く撮影から、６年間。 チャレンジの連続でした。 ジェイさん、ブルブルくん、キウイちゃん、ターキーさん、ナイちゃん、みんなみんな愛すべきキャラたちです。 毎朝見るたのしみをありがとうございました！

もうすぐ新しい本が出ます。「猫は、うれしかったことしか覚えていない」(幻冬舎)です。石黒由紀子さんの文章の合間合間に絵を描かせてもらったよ。いろんな猫たちが登場するけど、どの猫もほんとにみーんな豊かに生きてる！

ブラティスラヴァ世界絵本原画展で「けもののにおいがしてきたぞ」(岩崎書店)が金牌を受賞しました！スロバキアから電話かかってきたとき、びっくりして2回出損ねましたが、本当の話！やったぁ〜

カンヌ国際映画祭でパルムドールに輝いた是枝裕和監督の『万引き家族』のノベライズ版が出ます。映画ポスターの題字、イラストに引き続き、こちらでも装画、扉絵など描きました。宝島社から５月２８日発売です。デザインは大島依提亜さん。触るとフワッとする本だよ。
