Born and raised in Sendagaya, SHIBUYA Ward, Kihachiro Kawamoto (1925-2010) was a puppet artist and animation artist who created highly artistic puppet animations, and captivated many fans both in Japan and overseas with his NHK puppet shows such as "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "The Tale of the Heike."
Kawamoto Kihachiro Puppet Gallery, opened by SHIBUYA Ward, displays around 30 dolls based on themes from "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "The Tale of the Heike."
