The legit arcade equipment manufacturer Bay Tek Entertainment, maker of Skee-Ball (everyone knows what Skee-Ball is), is launching a Kickstarter for something called "Shuffleboard X." The product is a home Shuffleboard game, complete with digital scoring with a smaller footprint. The machine ships direct to customers in three boxes and it assembled in less than an hour. Consumers who sign up for the Kickstarter Early Bird pledge can buy one for $599, $300 off of its MSRP.
I try not to do Kickstarters for obvious reasons, but this is really tempting tempting, especially since it comes from a legit, established company.

A week or two ago, I wrote here about YouTuber Cary Hardy's recent tour of Texas pinball manufacturers. I have already talked about his first two stops at Barrels of Fun and Turner Pinball. Let's talk about stop three, Multimorphic, maker if the modular P3 (sorry I don't know how to make that 3 small here) pinball system.
The videos talk a great deal about the history of Multimorphic and how the Company has evolved from a project in Gerry's garage to the legit manufacturer that it is today. I was impressed by how they do all of their woodwork for both cabinets and playfields in-house.
As of the airing of this Live factory tour, Multimorphic had its Princess Bride pinball module on the production line. They were starting to set up to produce their next module, based on the video game franchise Portal, but official production had not begun. I reached out to Gerry to see when Portal production will begin and games will start shipping, he stated that he will be sending out an official company update on that subject "soon." Anyone who hasn't tried out Portal yet, which to me is by far the best P3 module yet, can do so at the upcoming Chicago Pinball Expo, where the company will have several machines for the public to play on the floor.
Wonderland Amusements, the company that is running a Kickstarter for the home pinball machine Alice Goes to Wonderland, sent out an update on the project earlier today. The factory that they are contracting with to build the games in China has 20 CNC machines that it uses to cut playfields. Below is a video of them in action.
Wonderland Amusements is currently reviewing printed art samples for the game. They just received a new sample game from the factory at the port in Los Angeles. Hopefully we will get to see a new gameplay video soon.
The French pinball manufacturer, HEXA Pinball, recently announced that they have launched a new pinball App called "Plungr"
The app enables pinball players and owners of any machine to track their scores, manage their machines and interact with other players. Click on the link below for more information:
