The Ten Legendary Warriors once saved the ancient Digital World. The objects that contain their powers—and grant these powers to those who use them—are known as “Spirits.” Let’s take a closer look at these Spirits today!
Hybrid
A Digimon form fusing a human with a Spirit. These Variable types can shift elements depending on the environment. A total of 32 Variable Digimon can be found in the Digimon Field Guide. A Hybrid has power that varies from Rookie class right through to Mega class.
Spirit
A relic containing the sealed power of the Legendary Warriors. Using a Spirit lets one Digivolve to Hybrid level. Each element type has two Spirits: a human-type “H Spirit” and a beast-type “B Spirit.” It seems that humans aren’t the only ones who can use these Spirits!

The form taken when a Spirit is used in Digivolution is known as a Hybrid. There are also fusion forms that use H Spirits and B Spirits together, and transcendent forms that use Spirits from multiple elements.
