NBS: China's Aug power generation rises 1.6% YoY

China's power generation from all sources climbed by 1.6% on year and 1% on month to reach 936.3 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) in August, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on September 15.

However, both the yearly and monthly increases in August slowed from July's respective rises of 3.1% and 16.4%, reflecting the impact of easing heat in the country's northern regions, Mysteel Global noted.
