They could’ve just modified and rereleased the virtual boy games on the scummy subscription service, but NO. They had to force you to buy an actual virtual boy peripheral to even play the damn games. The herd of idiots mindlessly gargling slop like these endless deluge of remakes and transparently greedy live service DLC farms doesn't make a difference to me because I'm not buying any of this junk anyway. So whether they're making more of it or not, it's all the same thing to me. And it's not like if they WEREN'T making this crap they WOULD be making good fun games instead. It's not like if Konami wasn't making Silent Hill 2, they would be getting Team Silent back together to make the true Silent Hill 5 at last.
These huge studios making endless trash and that trash being purchased by sheep doesn't really impact my life because it isn't taking away the massive archive of retro games I can replay anytime, and the constant wealth of incredible and innovative indie games coming out every single day. Fucking Silk Song is $20. Anyone who spends $80 on this new Pokemon shlock is a moron, but that moron doesn't change the fact that I can play Silk Song any time I want.

The adaptation almost always pales in comparison. That's all it comes down to.The original is always better than the remake. The cartoon is always better than the live action version. The manga is always better than the anime. Unless it was an anime first and they made a manga about it after the anime was successful, in which case it's the other way around. You get what I'm saying. The source material is just better than the new thing.And I'm not trying to act like your experience is lesser for watching the adaptation, or that the adaptation doesn't function as a gateway entry point for new fans. I watched the adaptation first too. I watched Dragon Ball Z on Toonami as a kid and I didn't read the manga until years later. I watched the Lord of the Rings movies before I ever read the books. Often times the adaptation is the more prolific and accessible version that is available to the mainstream, which is what you automatically are part of before you become a fan. Of course you saw the adaptation first.But I guarantee you. I assure you. I promise you! The original source material is simply better. I'm glad you liked the adaptation, I'm sure you thought it was very good. But I PROMISE you, if you watch the source material it WILL be BETTER. It IS better. The devil may cry video games are BETTER than the netflix show. The Sonic video games are BETTER than the paramount movies or the IDW comics. The Lord of the Rings books are BETTER than the Peter Jackson films. The Dragon Ball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh mangas are BETTER than the Toei animes.The adaptation is a Mcdonalds big mac. And you're ALLOWED to eat a big mac, you can ENJOY a big mac, there's nothing wrong with that.
