FEATURED IN THE CREDITS!
Following the success of Glitch Productions’ colorful, wacky series, The Amazing Digital Circus, fans of the series took it upon themselves to put their own playful spin on the beloved characters of the series. Whether their personalities were swapped, or they were working in an office building instead of playing in a circus, the possibilities are absolutely endless! That begs the question … what if it was a fighting game?
The Amazing Digital Circus: Fight Club follows Pomni, a new rookie in the simulated world, as she spars and fights her way to the top of the leaderboard … though not everything is what it seems. Making both friends, foes, and rivals, Pomni not only learns more about herself as a fighter … but also more about the strange world she ṙ̷̢͇̮͎͉̝͉͓͍̜̐͒̍́̉o̶̡̱͇̩̮͉̦̮̲̠͋̄͑̄̃̈͜p̸̛̖͇̺̺͙̥̯͎̃͂̇́͛̀̒̕͠ͅe̸̡̨͉̱͍̋̑͒͌͆̌̌̂̂̀͒̚d̶̯͖̞̯̲͙̍̓͛̽͌̋̚̕ ̷̭̓̾́͂h̶̡̤̤͎̦̘͈̳͙͎̤̞͎̺̲̊̇͆̃́͑̉̚e̷̛̬̰̥͎̞̱̅̕͝ͅͅŗ̴̧̺͈̰͇̳͚̬͙̜̟̌̌s̴̹̘̫̤͙̰͚͈̻͍̟͎̃̓̄͐̾̔́́̃ë̴̢̻̖̠̪̝̟̒̿̓̇͠l̵̢̤̥͚͙̬͔̮̔͆̎̏̈́̇͛̈́̒̚͝͝f̵̲̭̃̈́͊̀͆̿̃ ̸̯͉̫͈̜̠̯̞̖̻͙͎̹̟̆͛̌̈́̍̈̅̑̀͜͠ḭ̵̛̭̲̘̘̲͇̄̀̔̈́̿̃̒̉͘͜n̵͙̟̙̰̜̖̠͍̼̜͔̫̾̈́̈͒̀͐̄̿͒̚̕͜͜ţ̵̯̻͉̬̦͚͎̬̺̈́͋͊̔̽́̅͂̈́̄̆̾͜͝͝͠ó̴̢͔̠̺̱̱̪̩̯̪̤ ̵̧̤̗͔̯̠͓͎̰̎̈̽͋̿̕͘͜͠ͅ
New to the game but not to the discipline, Pomni is a critical rookie who's here for two things - money, and becoming the champion so she can find a way out. Though her fighting technique can be a tad overzealous, aiming to bite off more than she can chew, she remains humble towards her opponents and rivals due to their similar circumstances... except for one, of course.
Her skills only improve the higher she continues to rank, curious about what this strangely realistic world has to offer..
An Al built into the games code, Caine works tirelessly as both Pomni's contractor, manager, and instructor... but he certainly doesn't act like it. Charming, eccentric, and a rather lousy manager, Caine's main priority is helping Pomni win the championship. Somehow. Though of course, he fares a pretty lousy job at it most of the time.
As one of the only human still stuck in the rookie rank, Ragatha is a bit too kind for this line of work! A heavy hitter, but too soft for her own good, Ragatha is a strength-based brawler. Spar partner and good friend, Ragatha hopes that aiding Pomni towards victory will better aid her chances in finding a way out. It was fun at first, but now she's tired of it!
A master of agility and defense, Slink - or Gangle out of the ring - is the sneakiest there is! Fists like daggers, and 3rd on the leaderboard, Gangle is the top agility-based brawler in the digital championship. Fairing a few rivalries here and there, she tends to be quite loud and cheeky, having quite the fanbase because of her charm. Gangle remains oblivious to any of the Fight Club's ... hidden secrets.
Pompous, cocky, and far too confident, Jax - or Jackrabbit in the ring - is one of the many rising fighters in the championship. Envied by many other rivaling fighters, bolstered by a far too inflated ego, he manages to rise through the ranks through plain petty hits. Though he really doesn't care, he is curious as to what exactly comes after winning the championship... not like he has any interest in leaving though!
He remains blissfully unaware of the rookie climbing the ranks, or what happens when you let your ego take you too high ...
The concept was originally created as a simple, fun idea in early 2024, delving from creator Brynn Lewis's (AKA Burrotello) love for retro fighting games and the wide franchise as a kid. Despite this, she has always wanted to expand on the idea, though she wasn't sure where to start. Whether through small pieces or big illustrations, having fun with these designs became her way of truly appreciating the original series in her own special way.
By creating an animated short, Brynn Lewis felt that it could bring the designs she had created as a way of exploring and appreciating the creativity of the original series, and collaborating with Bliptoons made that dream a reality, having been encouraged by CEO Prettlophine Cotton (SillyMinny) to create an animation for her idea. With an animated short, Brynn Lewis felt as if a 2D animated version of her concept would best portray the action, and visual style she wanted to convey for her idea, as well as serve as a love letter for the inspiration the original series helped to grow through its impeccable story.
If successful, here is how we plan to distribute our Kickstarter funds! We plan to compensate our team properly with the funding they deserve for this Kickstarter episode.
Our incredible team has completed all that they could with the small budget we're currently working with, so it is crucial that they are properly compensated for their hard work!
The Amazing Digital Circus: Fight Club short is supported by BlipToons, an indie animation studio founded by Prettlophine Cotton in 2024. Collaborating with other incredibly talented creatives in the animation field, BlipToons aspires to inspire and encourage young people to pursue their dreams in animation. BlipToons specializes in 2D hand-drawn animation.
Known for her illustrative work in the TADC fandom, to her work on other projects such as Bliptoon's original Zipped Up and illustrative design, Brynn Lewis has always wanted to try her hand at production. Starting young in Waldorf, Maryland, from being inspired by various cartoons and video games, creating character designs on the whim, to her endless desire to learn new things as well as perfecting her craft, it came to no surprise that Brynn's next step in her career would be film production.
Brynn Lewis' resume is only growing, and working with BlipToons on this fan-animated short has only continued to add to her already incredible array of skills.
Having met Prettlophine Cotton in 2022, they have been inseparable in the industry. Their creative skill sets combined have created a beacon of passion for the BlipToons team.
Known for her indie animation series, Zipped Up, and her indie animation studio, BLIPTOONS, Prettlophine was excited to bring her fun, colorful ideas to the action-packed world of TADC: Fight Club! Starting young in Silver Spring, Maryland, Prettlophine was most inspired by musically driven cartoons like Steven Universe, My Little Pony, and Wander Over Yonder. She created her own stories at the young age of seven: writing scripts, creating original characters, you name it!
Ever since her Senior year of high school, telling impactful stories has become Prettlophine Cotton's full-time job. In support of her longtime best friend, Brynn Lewis, Prettlophine oversees the creative progress of TADC: Fight Club, as well as supplying creative and animation support through her 2D animation studio, BlipToons.
What's an animation without INCREDIBLE voices to match? Our voice actors brought these characters to life, and we couldn't be more grateful to have such an amazing cast!!
[THIS IS AN UN-OFFICIAL FAN PRODUCTION! Permission was received prior to production starting for the short's creation.] With the production of an animated short, we recognize that animation requires a significant amount of time. With this in mind, it's paramount that the incredible artists, animators, and talents we have on our team are prioritized above all else. As a studio, we do our utmost to allow production to coexist with the well-being and health of our cast and crew. By proposing a Kickstarter for this project, we hope to further support our fantastic team and compensate them for all their hard work, as well as encourage more fan ideas and animated projects in the future. Regardless of the outcome of this campaign, thank you all for your amazing support! We hope that with your help, we can create a short for you all to enjoy!
