Does anyone have any experience with HECS hunting technology? is it snake oil stuff? Does it really work? first-hand experience?

I have it and use it religiously. I've had 2 many instances where I should have been busted by deer and turkey and wasn't to ignore it. I've even had my beagle freak out while I was wearing it until he got my scent.

@WWB is the one who got me into buying it after hearing some of his stories.

IMO It does something. I had deer do some crazy things that they normally wouldn’t do. I’ve had a buck so
close to me while getting my stuff out of the car I could smell him turned around he was 9ft away looking at me and didn’t spook. he just walked away lucky for him I was out of buck tags. I’ve had a doe Watch me stand up getting ready to leave blow at me multiple times then I stood still for a few minutes she walked right in front of me. and shot a turkey at 7 feet last Saturday. So IMO it does something. And as OEA said the dogs act weird when have it on first time as well.

They did explain, in the video:

Your body is composed of atoms, molecules (and bio-chemical reactions) that generate electomagnetic fields and small flows of electrical current.
Also know as "Energy" or "radiation".

Your brain sends and receives electrical signals to/from your muscles and other organs.
Animals can sense these signals and electromagnetic fields.
Think of homing pigeons.
They follow the flux lines in the earth's magnetic fields.

Blocking these fields and signals hides you from animals.
Think of an RFID blocker for your wallet.
Same principle.

See FARADAY CAGE
I need a HUGE Faraday cage around me to block 5G electromagnetic fields from hitting me, causes havoc on my body!
😇 🎯

You may laugh, i kid you not.
Believe what you want, of course.
If you have a friend with a GAUSS METER, you can measure same as they are doing in the video.
GIve HECS a try and see for yourself.

PS - I used to sell Radio Frequency shielding materials and I still buy X-ray shielding material.
I use GAUSS and RAD (Geiger Counter) meters to this day.

In fact, I wear two Dosimeters, one is a ring, another a badge-like module, while at work every day as we build custom X-ray test equipment for world wide use.
We send them to Health Canada every 30 to 90 days. They verify that workers are not being exposed/overexposed to harmful x-rays.

Hope this helps!
I tend to ramble.

BTW, save your $20.
Material that would act even remotely close to a Faraday cage will cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Even cellphone or RFID blocking material will run $20 per sq.ft., for example, and those are not the frequencies (wavelengths) that need to be blocked.
Just trying to help, it's not easy to do what is being described here.

There is lots more on the site I didn't see first time I looked. I wasn't scrolling down far enough..

I thought this was interesting:

HECS® technology can affect some electronic transmission from items such as some FM radio transmission frequencies. HECS® will not affect your cell phone signal or most Bluetooth signals.

If it is a Faraday cage around your body how does it not effect those signals if they are inside the cage (in your pocket)?

No, it is not a Farady cage.
That was merely an analogy.

The electromagnetic spectrum covers wavelengths ranging from radio to gamma waves.
Your body emits lower frequency (longer wavelength) radiation.
That is what HECS is shielding (blocking).

FM radio frequencies are in the 88 to 108 megahertz range, +/-.
Cell phones are in the 2.4 + gigahertz range.
Here are somes graph of the "known" electromagnetic spectrum.

I am an admitted doubter, BUT, that doesn't mean I'm not open to new things so....are they saying it's not about your scent or am I missing something? Sounds like this is not a scent eliminator like ozonics but an electrical field blocker? How do they prove you can get closer when if you watch the wind I've had animals within feet of me. Again, I've seen lots of claims of scent elimination that seemed to end up being just a lack of understanding wind thermals. I've seen the ozonics claims but then they say to still watch the wind, bla bla bla. As a doubter  I guess I need more proof

i often wondered if a guy couldnt "hack" one of those suites. just bust down some carbon spark plug wires and thread your own. or lay fibers out and glue up a grid to cover cloths with.

they sure work hard at advertising to sell something that should sell itself though.

i believe these suits started with shark repellent research in the 80s. interesting product for sure!

Several times I have been caught by deer moving in a stand when trying to video them, etc. They see me move, know something is there but once I stay still, they go back to being relaxed and act like I'm not even there anymore. I've had this happen at least a half dozen times. One day I was walking to my stand in the pitch black and jumped some deer that were bedded next to the trail. I stopped to listen to where they were running to and the next thing I know they are getting closer and closer. Turned my green hat light on and a doe was standing 6 ft from me. I stood there without moving and she just walked off. I've only had one weird encounter with turkeys. In the fall I was deer hunting and a flock came into the woods in front of me. I shot at one and missed (it was 40 yards and I used the 20 yard crosshair on the Oracle X instead of the dropped dot) 🤦‍♂️. I recocked the bow in the stand with at least 20 turkeys looking right at me and they didn't react at all. They never came closer though so I didn't shoot again. Flinging one WWB arrow with a Swat on the end at 40 yards was enough wasted money for me. I never did find that arrow. :(

Stuff like this just doesn't happen in the deer/turkey woods in my experience. Was it all coincidence or does this stuff actually work? 🤷‍♂️... I've seen enough to believe it does and worth throwing on the layer every time I go out.

I've had similar experiences, including waking up from a midday nap with a doe 5 feet from me trying to figure out what I was. When I startled her she backed off to about 20 feet and watched me. Mule deer are less high strung than whitetail though. The reason I went looking for scientific studies is we could swap personal experiences all day without proving anything. I'm glad it's working for you, and one thing I 100% believe is confidence matters a great deal in hunting. I'm a thrift store clothes kinda guy for hunting (in the off season you can find great stuff) so spending that much on hunting clothes goes against my nature. I also hunt very different game in very different country. I'm not convinced, and won't spend that much on a maybe, but I'm glad you are!

Fwiw I feel the same way about scent blocking sprays, clothes, etc. I've never used any of it. I do think the evidence behind ozone is solid but I'm not gonna carry an ozone generator up mountains. I keep everything simple and it works for me, well enough anyway.

I wear neutral tones and or camo and I try to stay still, that's about it.

Understood man. I bought the suit I wear on EBay slightly used for $90 lol. When I got it the suit still had the tags on it so not sure how it was worn but whatever. Win for me. It is the one that retails for $250.

I honestly think Ol Rueger boy is having a flash back to the time when he witnessed Mr. and Mrs. OEA making the Beast With Two backs on the couch and a bear tried to break up the...."festivities"?😲

He's a beautiful dawg....a talented dawg....but uhhhh.....he's kinda seen some stuff.😵‍💫

He definitely has seen some stuff that no one should ever have to see! 😜

So is the hecs supposed to eliminate scent or is it a energy field Eliminator? Even tho a doubter, I am curious. The experiences of those on this forum have changed my opinions before! Just a side note on this subject (and maybe explain my scepticism), John eberhart swears by scent loc clothing but does everything to avoid the wind, like hunting 30ft in the air, walking half mile or more to approach the stand downwind, washes everything often etc. The point being is I doubt his success had anything to do with scent loc and more with his methods.

It has nothing to do with scent elimination, just the electric field stuff. I wear it under my ScentBlocker clothes. Before anyone jumps all over scent blocker, I buy it from the closeout section on their website so it's not expensive and is comfortable, quality camo. The closeout stuff is only slightly more than Walmart prices. If scent blocker does anything at all to help with scent control it's a bonus to me.

I saw a test 10 or 15 years ago that outdoor life or field and stream did, can't remember which, where they had a dog trained to pick out which wood box the guy was hiding in. Dog went right to the right box regardless of what scent blockers or masks they tried.

After seeing that I never worried about it. I just assume anything down wind smells me and focus on up wind. It's frustrating on hunts when the wind just swirls constantly.

They did not have the Hecs stuff when they did that test if memory serves me correctly.

My two cents... back in 2002 thru 2006 I was a Prostaffer for a major Hunting Manufacturer on weekends since I was still on Active Dury. We had 18 companies and one of them was a scent elimination company we are all familiar with. The technology was new and since I was an Air Force Groundpounder who had spent a good part of his life in the field in chemical suits I was given that line at Sportsman Shows. Well what I learned was people who followed the instructions really did see more deer. But I would venture to say a good part of that had to do with people hunting clean. Staying clean ...not stopping for gas on way to woods...not smoking etc. it really got people to keep clothing separate . Not wash in smelly detergent etc. I would love to try this Hecs stuff I've seen guys in camp wear it but I didn't see them having more game sightings etc. my put would be...if you have the extra (Bidenomics Money) lying around buy a suit and see what it does. But trying to decide based on people's opinions seems like a tough row to hoe🤷‍♂️

So I have used mine several times. Not sure if it works or just coincidence. Have had different reactions with it. Also have had luck without it. Really playing wind is best bet in my experience. Back in the day my grandpa bow hunted recurve with no camo. He was a very successful hunter as well. Good ol red flannel hunting shirt and blue jeans served him well. Now I was gifted my suit. Knowing what I know now and overall cost of a suit. I would likely not buy one, but glad I was given one.

I could take the weird things that have happened while wearing it and say man that stuff works. I'm 79 and I could take all the weird things that have happened before I got it and say it didn't change anything. Wash your clothes in sent lock soap , bath in unscented soap and stay downwind! That works. But only if you don't;) get caught moving.

I bought a set of the base layers four or five years ago and wore it for about half the season. I didn’t really see much difference wearing it but to be fair it was one of those down years that I didn’t see a lot of deer even when I wasn’t wearing it.
I just might have to dig them out of the drawer and give it another try this year.
