Another attempted botting wave, this time much larger, has hit SNCApedia; this time attempting to create already existing pages but with "^" at the end. To prevent this from happening again, (You) will now need to solve a CAPTCHA to create pages on SNCApedia unless you have a "trusted" account. Same Python script is mass rejecting the edits and marking the IPs as spam.

Oh fuck I just pissed off quote yesterday on the IRC and he’s specifically targeted me. I don’t think I’m a huge target but considering how much Ive annoyed the sharty jannies it’s very possible

I have received confirmation that the Chilean foodist is the one attempting to bot SNCApedia. Xe has tried to bot it for the third time but failed even harder. Xe only managed to shit up the moderation queue with hundreds of edits, MUCH less than the thousands of the first wave and the tens of thousands of the second wave; so I could reject all the spam edits and shadowban the IPs manually.
All this clitty leakage over being mentioned in the chinny article, GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEG.

xe tried a fourth time and failed even harder. i've also turned on CAPTCHA for everything so it doesn't happen again

Probally a nothingburger. Pretty much everyone forgot about it after it happened but as the post says just use a vpn from now on
