At Rakuten Mobile Shops, you can complete the procedures for switching (MNP transfer) and name change (transfer) in person.

※When applying online, you cannot transfer from another carrier (MNP) and change the name (ownership transfer) at the same time.HerePlease check the following.

Please download the dedicated power of attorney form below, fill in all the required items, and bring it to the shop.

Notes

  • Name changes (transfers) at Rakuten Mobile Shops can only be processed if the "last names" or "addresses" of the transferring carrier account holder and the Rakuten Mobile account holder match.
    Example: The transferring carrier account holder is a parent, and the user is their child.
  • If the "last name" and "address" of the transferring carrier's contract holder do not match those of the Rakuten Mobile contract holder, you cannot simultaneously switch from another carrier (MNP transfer) and change the name on the contract (transfer).When applying onlinePlease check the following.

  • When applying online

You cannot perform MNP (Mobile Number Portability) from another carrier and change the name on the contract at the same time.

For online applications, we only accept MNP transfers under the same name. If the names are different, please request a name change (transfer) with your current mobile carrier before proceeding with the MNP transfer.

If your current mobile carrier does not allow name transfer, please request a name change (transfer) after switching to Rakuten Mobile.
