I (29f) and my husband (30m, let's call him Jimothy) both work in sales in the same office. For those wondering; that's where we met, back when I was still a receptionist.

Anyway, we recently gave birth to our first child; we'll call her "PeePee." We love PeePee with our whole hearts and she is a wonderful blessing, but--like any newborn--taking care of her isn't easy. She wakes up several times a night. As a result Jimothy and I are both dragging ass at work.

So, the other day we were both struggling to stay awake. Jimothy honed in on an energy drink in the vending machine. Now, as a breastfeeding mother I can't have energy drinks, but Jimothy noted that just because I couldn't have one didn't mean that he couldn't. I responded (snapped, really) "Well that's kind of true, and kind of not."

OK, so here's why I think I was right: We are in this parenthood thing together. If I can't drink an energy drink then he shouldn't be able to either as an act of solidarity. But, then again, maybe I was unfair. Maybe as the father he should actually be able to make use of whatever physical advantages he has to better take care of his family. AITA?

Just curious what your favorites that are no longer around are. 

I was thinking about how Taco Bell is doing this "decades collection" thing and brought back the Caramel Apple Empanada, which kinda made my whole month. Wouldn't it be cool if more companies did stuff like that? 

My long-lost favorites:

  • Monster M-80 (yellow from like the 2000s lol)

  • Red Shockwave (Speedway exclusive energy drink that I think was discontinued in 2019?)

  • Dragonfruit Red Bull (Recently discontinued and I am still upset about it lol)

  • Cherry Amp

If any of these came back tomorrow I'd be buying them up like toilet paper in March 2020. What about you?
