Uyghur group wants Australian retailer to provide evidence that it has no forced labour risks in its supply chain
MELBOURNE - Australian retailer Kmart is facing court action which lead to it being forced to disclose whether it has supply chain links to forced labour in the Xinjiang region of China.
The Australian Uyghur Tangritagh Women's Association (AUTWA) says it believes the retail giant may be sourcing some of its products from factories linked to forced labour camps in Xinjiang which provides a fifth of the world's cotton.
