The state of Florida has until about October 2 to decide whether there is cause to move forward in my case or to give me a right to sue letter so I can take this to federal court. In the meantime I have been applying steadily for work at around 30 applications a day give or take but the only responses I have received have been six rejections for remote roles. The rest have been silence. It is discouraging especially when customer service is the one field I know I can do well with documented positive reviews from my last position. To stay afloat I already sold my car to cover rent food and utilities. I also have two cats that I continue to care for. I am starting applications for SNAP and housing assistance but these programs take weeks to process and I am under immediate pressure. I do not usually open up about this publicly which is why I have kept this post protected for just those who already follow me. I do not want right wing trolls coming at me right now. But I do want to ask what would you advise I do at this point. If you know of resources either here in Brevard County or nationally that might help an LGBT person trying to stay on their feet while looking for work I would appreciate it. I am not trying to avoid work or live on the street. I learn fast and I am applying every single day. And this is also why I have two GoFundMe campaigns. One is for support against Sedgwick in case I need to fight them legally but it is also to help me cover basic support. The second is to help me move out of the state of Florida. Maybe I am doing this wrong and should have combined them but I felt it would look disingenuous. So I am also asking for advice from my followers on that.
