Get the F-106A “Six Shooter” in the Sky Guard Event!
The F-106 supersonic interceptor entered service with the U.S. Air Force in 1959. This aircraft did not take part in combat operations in Vietnam, but the possibility of using it as air cover was considered. In view of this, in 1972 the fighter was modernized under the Six Shooter program, where it was equipped with an internal cannon, an optical sight and a transparent canopy. Closer to the 1980s, the U.S. Air Force switched to more modern fighters, causing the F-106s to be transferred to the National Guard, serving until 1988.

National Airborne Day was established in 2002 to honor the first parachute landing of the United States Army on August 16th, 1940. American paratroopers received their baptism of fire in November 1942 on the North African front, and their contribution to the Allied victory on D-Day and in the Battle of the Bulge is difficult to overestimate.

As part of the Western forces, Polish formations fought for Tobruk and Monte Cassino, participated in the Battle of Britain and the Falaise Offensive.
The F-89D is Temporarily Available at a Discount on its First Flight Anniversary!
Northrop first flew the F-89 Scorpion all-weather interceptor on August 16th, 1948. It was the first jet aircraft designed primarily for the interceptor role, the first to carry air-to-air nuclear weapons — the AIR-2 Genie missile — and one of the first to be equipped with air-to-air missiles. The F-89 Scorpion remained in U.S. service until the late 1960s.
