from 2022-2023 I was on house arrest so I was online pretty much 100% of the time, across several different sites. I found the site through like 4 different sources each at different times as a result of that.
I knew of the site since /qa/ closed down since I actively used /bant/ (I think before /qa/ died, /bant/ was actually more dead and had less jannies lurking, to the point where I distinctly remember a literal dox thread reaching bump limit without jannies interfering, which made it more appealing to me than /qa/, albeit it also had a lot more discord trannies), doe I never used it because I thought it was either a dead altchan or a honeypot
I found a 'ki page while trying to find proxies for ban evasion some time in 2022 (after some of /qa/ took refuge in /bant/, jannies started paying more attention to the board, so I found myself getting banned a lot more frequently), which helped give me a more positive opinion of the site, since literally no other source I found named any free VPNs that worked for ban evasion. at some other point around this time I actually made a post on /raid/ trying to use 'teens as my personal army to raid some random altchan that kept being shilled on 4cuck.
I saw some of the soytube kids videos on xitter and youtube in either late 2022 or early 2023, whenever they started popping up, and I immediately knew they arose from here, and was impressed at how far they spread given the obscurity of this site
then on kiwifarms, around january or february 2023, I recall seeing that a thread had been made about the site, which indicated to me that it must not be a dnb. when I read through the thread I saw clips from 'ackbox raids and thought they were really gemmy, which is what finally convinced me to actually check the site out, and that's when I started actively posting.

I learnt of the site from der cord which I stopped using after actually using this site because der cord are awful people. The der cord server I was in was filled with people who used coal brimstone and gem, and no it was not a soycord, it was for free polcompball, these niggers bullied me hard. I also watched some vids on the tube, like incredible gassy, and Germany vid so I really wanna say I was mainly a tubeDEITY migrant
I only started this site because it had a /tech/ board, I used to chronically browse any and all imageboards if they had a /g/ or /tech/ in fact to me it is a neccessity for me to actually use it in the first place, I never moved to any other boards for months until Froot closed it, because I only used the site for one board I literally did not this until maybe last month, I kid you not I sat there checking /tech/ daily for new posts only for there to be none. I think I would migrate to /raid/ which I think I only learnt from the wiki, that became the only other board I used.
Eventually the Kolyma Restoration happened, I think that’s when I started using it really much more, probably due the coolly log and shit. Than the 4chan hack happened. Oh what a GEM. A beautiful time to be a part of you nunusois missed out man. I think that’s what really turned ,e fully into a soyteen, god I love this website.
This site has been so helpful in so many things, so many unique views, so many gems, the discussion is amazing, this is one of the few sites I would love to own one seeet day. Also you made me start hating trannies and shit. Never stop jakking.

I never thought I'd see anyone say this geg. I'm actually glad to see there are people on this site that actively lurk the hobby boards doe, I'm one of the few that's in favor of a higher PPH sitewide, and also the idea of potentially surpassing and replacing 4cuck one day instead of just being yet another altchan, so it always is a bit disappointing to me how every board but /soy/, /pol/, and /raid/ are practically non-existent. my ideal site would probably have at least 5 other boards be about as active as /soy/ is right now (500pph) at all times, with /soy/ constantly being twice as active, and the other boards would also have their own sort of cultures that differ slightly from the main /soy/ culture.
part of me wants to try helping to populate the hobby boards myself but the other part of me forgets they exist.
