Neither Anthony nor Kate have any compelling plot points outside of their romance. They get married & have children, the general public won’t want to watch them manage their household. Pen is LW & has inherent conflict that general audiences are invested in. Hope this helps!

It comes from Edmund. He puts money in a bank when the son is born & in 20-25 yrs when the son is an adult, the money grows large enough for him to live off. This is a trust fund. Anthony is the trustee (he decides how to invest the money) but he doesn’t own it nor fund it.

What does Colin & Benedict’s inheritance have to do w. Anthony? The book makes it clear that each son gets a large amount of money, the money earns interest in the bank that the sons live off. Anthony is managing their trust but he doesn’t own it.
