This is an important article by . I don't know if cares much about English heritage, or even a C14th Cistercian chapel commissioned by Edward III—London's ‘Eastminster’—but it would be a great shame, if not a desecration, for these ruins to be handed over to the Chinese Communist Party, with no safe or secure access for pilgrims, historians and archaeologists (or sanctioned British citizens). The CCP isn't exactly known for furthering spirituality or respecting holy sites.
