Nikki, this is already tainted. If James can’t prosecute this, the power to appoint a special prosecutor falls to Governor DeSantis. He’s going to pick someone very friendly to him and the AG. Every local State Attorney in Florida is limited by their circuit’s jurisdiction, so none of them can just take over a statewide case like this on their own. Bottom line, Florida is pretty much screwed at the state level.
