Let me say this loud and clear. If the FBI or any federal agent comes to your home you do not have to open the door or speak to them in person. You can talk through your camera. You can email them. If they are authentic they will leave a card just like they did with me.
What I did and what I recommend others do is communicate only through email. That way you control the narrative. There is no twisting your words. There is no misunderstanding your tone. There is no bait to pull you into an off the cuff comment they can use against you. They want you on the phone or face to face because it gives them the advantage. Do not give it to them.
Email puts you in control and creates a paper trail. That paper trail can be more valuable than you think. Do not open the door. Do not call them back. Email only. Protect yourself.
