Quoted from Jackontherocks:

Thanks but don’t believe it was that one. I posted a few favorite concerts been to but don’t believe that’s the one posted all the bands seen all time. Any idea how to search for it let me know, thanks. I know to start looking at threads I posted in but not sure how to find it exactly and will try.

I tried to search all the music posts I posted still can’t find the list of bands seen live but will keep trying

If kanada is right and it's episode 1, I'm out. I saw it in theaters, didn't like it then, don't like it now. Hatchet watch order is how I introduced sw to my kids....then
...Disney....... It was fun while they were interested.

It’s absolutely a shit movie, but I could see it working well as a pin actually. Good concepts, art, and mech possibilities.

I was 11 when Ep 1 came out, I have a ton of nostalgia and love for that movie. Kid me had no idea how 'bad' of a movie it was. Jar Jar was kind of funny, Maul was awesome, the pod race was one of the coolest things I had ever seen in a movie, Padme was cute, the ships/droids/planets were new and cool etc etc.

They might be a few years early to fully capatilize on the nostalgia though.

I am a fan of the 'soft licenses' Stern has been doing (JP, Kong, Godzilla, FF, D&D etc) that gives them more creative freedom. I don't love the 'play through the movie' (Star Wars, Jaws, HP) thing as much. I would prefer a unique game in the Star Wars universe (Vader, Anakin, Clone, Pilot etc) over 'Ep1 the pinball machine' but I think I am in the minority.

#56559 64 days ago

Jar jar better eat the ball.

#56560 64 days ago

Assume it would be "clone wars" pinball. The franchise has built up a ton around that era and if they can use content from films, and tv show stuff, they could do something decent here.

#56561 64 days ago

Episods 1-3 beyond god awful but plenty enough stuff to make a good pin. Just do the oppsire of Popadykes shitpin

#56562 64 days ago

Prequels were just bad….

They killed of the only good parts in the first movie lol.

But hey I’m fine with it if that gives Elwin time to do a game next year and come back for Starwars for 50th anniversary 2027.

Give them time to push spike 3.

Thanks stern!

Help Me Elwin your my only hope….

#56563 64 days ago

Unless they made a last minute change, it is NOT episodes 1-3.

Quoted from Haymaker:

dumb Skeleton Crew that nobody wants except for Disney.

I have to say I would prefer Episodes 1-3... They really should have done Andor!

#56564 64 days ago

Personally, I’d like to see Lego Star Wars.

I haven’t seen much of the show and video game and such, but what I did see I thought was very clever and enjoyable.

The oracle has spoken. Mark this down. Should be a key post.

Aside from Kill Bill, which is perfect for pinball, IMO, a new theme that might be a success would be based on the Despicable Me movies, with a strong role for the Minions. Not as big a franchise as Pokémon (nothing is), but would be another inter-generational theme.
Still also rooting for The Simpsons (TSPP remaster and/or Treehouse of Horror).
IMO, Stern has done enough Star Wars and Marvel themes for awhile…

Ha! That’s not exactly what I intended, lol. Ok, how about no more comic book superhero themes? Although, truth be told, I’d be pretty damn excited about an Elwin or Danger pin with the Dark Knight trilogy of films as the assets.

Intergenerational, if by that you mean tween-age kids and their grandmas reposting memes on Facebook. Everyone I know between 16 and 60 can't stand the dumb yellow things.

(I don't mind them, they're amusing, but I doubt it'd be much of a pinball seller.)

I like those movies and find the minions funny but good lord a pinball machine? That sounds like more of a torture device!

Star Wars is just too big of a license to not have a machine in the works somewhere. I would actually love to see JJP have a crack at a Star Wars game but that seems unlikely.

#56571 64 days ago

some themes I'd love to see:
-Wu-Tang
-Kill Bill
-Slayer
-Civil War/WW1/WW2 theme
-Rage against the (pinball) Machine
-Resident Evil
-Hellraiser
-Breaking Bad
-Goonies

You know... I don't think there are any "dream themes" left for me.

My dream themes are/were:

Star Wars
Mario
South Park
Simpsons
Harry Potter
Jurassic Park
Lord of the Rings.

I'm now reduced to what I would call "themes I'd really like" but are not dream themes. At the moment those include:

Zelda
Futurama <-------------------------------- I think this has the most potential to be made and could potentially make a great theme.
Fallout

The pinball world really has done a great job with getting themes we are interested in.

Mission Impossible & Top Gun could also be intriguing themes.

Futurama would be a great theme as well... has anyone played the homebrew?

But are the games that have been made far for your dream themes dream games? I would be very excited for another OT Star Wars game. Or even more for a ‘soft license’ Star Wars game - unique story but in universe. Same for pretty much all of those other dream themes. I’d like to see a JJP Jurassic Park or a new Mario or whatever.

Not ideal for collectors and they need to space them out but most if not all of these big themes have room for more games. Maybe only LoTR and Simpsons kind of have perfect games out there for their theme at - least for ones on your list.

I disagree with a lot of themes suggested in this thread, but Kill Bill would be a great theme for a pinball game. There is a ton they could do with it.

#56587 63 days ago

Not a kill bill fan at all but it's got everything you need to make a great theme.

SW ep 1-3 ehh, but if they twist it up a bit..

No sir. I know a Star Wars movie when I see one. I've seen all of those movies, except Rise of Skywalker, and there are only six Star Wars movies.

#56590 63 days ago

When the wheel turns and it’s time for Team Elwin again, I hope they get them back on a music pin. It’s Time for Black Sabbath !!!! Ooor Ozzy. Either will do as long as BS songs come with. Call it Sharron, whatever just make it!

It's more like each of them has flopped individually. AIQ is too confusing to be fun, Venom is too weird rules-wise to be fun, UXMen is too weird in the playfield to be fun. We haven't had an unquestionably well made Marvel since Deadpool. If something like Foo Fighters or Rush had been the same game but themed to Dr Strange or Fantastic Four, we'd say Marvel was doing fine.

#56594 63 days ago

I’m still hopeful…Archer or Smokey and the Bandit.

Stern won't make it BUT it should be made by someone! Shocking that it wasn't made in the 1980s.

Quoted from CoolCatPinball:

A lot of Marvel fans out there but it is a little saturated. I do love my UXM though!

Looks like the next Disney game will be SW anyway..

#56596 63 days ago

I'm hoping for something that's not Star Wars, Marvel, or a rock band. There are plenty of cool IP's out there, just pick something and make a good game out of it.

#56597 63 days ago

Smokey and the Bandit or Dukes of Hazzard would be my vote. Star Wars and comic book superhero played out imo. Western theme would be epic but don't think any would have enough weight these days.

While Stern remasters/recycles themes, it’s beginning to feel like the smaller manufacturers have already secured some good stuff that’s been ignored based on current trends …
