it was another day of chaos in the gojo household—you had gone missing again.
except this time, you didn’t just run off.
you had activated your universe traveling powers yet again, a gift you genuinely had no proper control over due to your inexperience, and it was something that only you, a special child variant of the wanda maximoff, possessed.
gojo was certain you were just in the living room, watching the television, but as soon as he turned away for not even a second, you had already disappeared, and all that’s left was a cartoon about detectives playing in the background, and little did you and gojo know, the detective cartoon you were watching just now had subconsciously inspired you and your magic.
“gojo-sensei, you called?”
“kikufuku’s missing again…”
you find yourself standing in the middle of a busy street. for some reason, the year of the said place you had just traveled to seemed to be in the 20’s of sorts, or maybe that’s just what you thought. you began to walk and join the crowd, admiring the shops by the sidewalks to start your mini adventure when all of a sudden your chaos magic had involuntarily spiked up. someone was bleeding, and they needed your help.
picking up your tiny legs and ignoring the odd stares you received from the crowd, you bolted to where you had felt the presence of the person. for some reason, they had a very similar aura to your yuuji-nii. there was something else inside of him—kind of like how yuuji had sukuna. hurrying, you made it into an abandoned warehouse near a lake and gasped to see a young boy, no older than eighteen, clutching an open wound he had on the abdomen. he was surrounded by people dressed in black hoods. all of them were holding were weapons you knew were guns.
“no!” you cried out, disappearing into a red mist and reappearing at his side, causing the gray-haired boy to stare at you in surprise and confusion.
“where did you come from?”
that was all he could say before one of the men decided to shoot his gun.
“watch out!”
the strange yet familiar boy immediately took hold of you in his arms, just as the bullet was about to graze and dig itself into your skull, but even without his quick reflexes, you and he would have been perfectly fine.
“ATSUSHI!” “ATSUSHI!!”
you heard voices come from the above. looking over the boy’s shoulder, you found two men that were definitely older than him but the same age as your dad and uncle nanami. the blonde and brunette peered over the railing from the second floor of the abandoned warehouse. their pupils slowly widened to see a red force field engulfing you and boy inside. the mini hex you had put up had repelled the bullet that was meant for you and him before it had dissipated into thin air.
“a force field? who’s that kid?” the young blonde man with glasses squinted, spotting a young girl about the age of five or so with [color] hair and seemingly red-glowing [color] eyes.
as the men surrounding you two, like vultures with guns, prepared to shoot in unison this time, you immediately reacted by pushing yourself away from the boy and turning around, twitching and locking your fingers that glowed red. at that, all of the guns that were aiming for the two of you had been taken away from their grasp by your psionics. you had every single gun thrown meters away from their reach.
“that kid is with the weretiger.” they claimed as they began to pull out knives and blunts in order retaliate after you had taken away their guns.
a whimper left your lips as you took a step back. it looks like they were really angry with what you did. however, before anything else could happen, you shut your eyes closed. you felt a hand placed itself on the top of your head, followed by shuffling and the feeling of two presences near you. opening one eye, you looked up to see a tall brunet with a brown coat standing in front of you in a protective stance together with another man who had blonde hair and glasses.
“you’re not hurting the kid either.”
for some reason, the man with blonde hair and glasses greatly reminded you of uncle nanami because of how he spoke and carried himself.
fortunately, the police had arrived, and the next thing you knew, the bad people in black that tried to hurt the boy you saw in your precognition was taken away, and then it took you a while to realize that you had been unconsciously clinging to the brown coat of the man with brunet hair. it was only then that you realized it when he had spoken up after some time.
“kunikida-kun, look! she’s clinging onto me. poor little thing, she must have been scared.” you looked up to see him peering down at you with a sympathetic yet childish pout.
“i’m sorry!” you immediately pulled your hands away from his brown coat.
“it’s okay.” the brunet giggled softly, extending a hand to your face only to pinch your cheeks, causing you to giggle in return.
“are you hurt? you’re not hurt anywhere are you?” the boy you had saved asked, staring at you in concern as he patted you all over for any injuries as you turned to face him and his heterochromiac eyes.
“i’m not hurt.” you told him with a small smile. you were definitely right about him resembling your yuuji-nii. both of them were genuinely caring people and a bit too selfless for their own good.
“but, you’re hurt.” a frown immediately faltered on your face.
“ah, this? i’m okay.. yosano-sensei will just patch up..” the boy said in reassurance. however, he was gulping nervously in his thoughts as you saw a silhouette of a woman holding a gigantic knife of sorts. “yeah, i’m gonna be just fine. yup.”
“let me help you!”
you put your red psionics into play.
closing your eyes, you extended your hands out and began to lock and interlocking your red-glowing fingers. he winced for a second when your magic had started to do its thing on him, and the two men with you and him almost intervened, but that was until they had realized you were being true to your words. his eyes widened at how warm and comforting your powers felt. it felt a bit weird to have his wounds get stitched up by fibers and tissues, but it was all good.
“what is this?” he uttered in surprise. “how are you doing this?”
“i’m patching you up! i learned this with the help of auntie ieiri. it’s kind of similar to a reversed curse thingy.” you explained the best you can. “but instead of cursed energy, i’m using magic. it’s something that i can do at a—erm, i forgot the word that she used. i think it was molar? molar level?”
kunikida corrected you softly, “i think you mean molecular level.”
“yeah! that’s the word auntie used.” you chimed, giggling softly.
“how did you get in here, kid? this place quite far from the city.” you turned around yet again after you patched up the boy you saved and this time faced the blonde man that reminded you of your uncle nanami.
“i saw that he needed help, so i had to.” you answered in response. “daddy taught me that i should only use my powers for good and for helping people.”
“so, that’s why you saved me. thank you.” the boy smiled at you in gratitude. “your daddy taught you well and i feel much much better!”
“powers, huh? your precognition reminds me of.. nevermind.” the brunet looked at you with analytical yet curious brown eyes as he rubbed his chin with his index finger and thumb. “anyway, aren’t you a rarity? kids like your age barely has control over their abilities.”
“mhm, it’s wiggly-woos magic, or chaos magic!” you beamed, showing them the red psionics trailing from your fingertips.
“speaking of your father, where is he? he must be worried sick when you ran off.” the guy you know as “kunikida” pressed on as he knelt down to your height.
“he’s not here. my daddy is back at home. from my world.” you explained to him, causing him and the two boys to stare at you in confusion.
“what do you mean?” the boy you saved inquired, raising a brow to urge you to continue.
“i’m not from here, i traveled here. i—before you could further explain, a wave of nausea had suddenly washed over you. your vision instantly became a blurry, swirling mess.
"kid? kid!”
kunikida called out your name as you began to tip and sway side-to-side on your stand.
“are you okay?!”
you couldn’t hear their voices for some reason. it was as if something was drowning their voice. you felt your knees buckle and the last thing you saw was their concerned faces before you blacked out and succumbed to your exhaustion.
as you fell unconscious, kunikida’s reflexes kicked in right before you hit the floor. he immediately scooped you into his arms and cradled your tiny form.
“kid? can you hear me?”
if you were awake right now, you would definitely see how frantic and shrunken his eyes were from concern.
“she fell asleep.” the brunet peered down at your figure, watching how you softly snored as kunikida carried you. “her abilities tired her out.”
“thank goodness.” the boy resembling your yuuji-nii drew out a relieved sigh before looking at the brunet, and then at the blonde. “but, what are we going to do with her, dazai-san? kunikida-san?”
“we’re going to take her to the agency. a child walking off on her own with that sort of power earlier is dangerous.” kunikida explained, glancing at your sleeping face momentarily. “it’s not safe for her to be on her own, especially when she claims she’s not from here.”
“do you really think she comes from another universe?” atsushi had his doubts.
“it is a possibility.” a smile curved on dazai’s lips at that instant. “i couldn’t sense any lie from her earlier.”
“i see.” atsushi nodded his head in agreement.
“hehe, and here i thought you hated ‘brats’. look at you, being all motherly-like with the munchkin!” dazai commented with a hint of mischief in his eyes as he teased his friend.
“i am not!” kunikida scowled at his fellow detective, “and shut up! you’re going to wake her up.”
“kunikida-kun is really a mother hen.”
the moment kunikida, dazai and atsushi returned to the armed detective agency with you with them, you were instantly bombarded by naomi, kenji, junichiro, as well as ranpo, yosano and kyouka too. you just looked so adorable and peaceful sleeping in kunikida’s arms and the fact that you had been clinging to him too. they almost forgot the report they had to accomplish as soon as they saw you.
“she’s so cute!” kenji poked your cheek with his index finger, but his hand got immediately swatted away by kunikida who seems to be protective over you.
“i agree! don’t tell me she’s your kid.” ranpo chuckled at his actions.
“she’s not my kid. also, don’t do that. you’re going to wake her up.” kunikida drew out a long breath of sigh. “can someone get a blanket?”
“what happened to her?” naomi instantly came running with a blanket together with kirako.
before kunikida could explain, after he had settled you down on the sofa where dazai often lounges around with a blanket over your tiny figure and a cushion beneath your head, the president had arrived to see what the commotion was all about.
“what’s going on?”
everyone straightened their posture upon the presence of fukuzawa yukichi.
he peered down at your sleeping figure, evidently confused. “what is a child doing here?”
“she intervened in our assignment earlier and saved atsushi with her ability, but upon doing so, she fell unconscious from exhaustion.” dazai explained, folding his arms across his chest. “kunikida-kun insisted that we bring her here. before she passed out, she claims that she comes from another universe and that her ability was called chaos magic.”
“intervened?” fukuzawa furrowed his brows.
“yes, she suddenly appeared in the warehouse. she said that she saw how atsushi was in danger, and apparently, that urged her to help him.” kunikida continued, adding to dazai’s statement.
after some time, you have finally woken up. the agency practically stormed you again as you fluttered your eyes open and let a small yawn, a teeny tiny yawn that made them stare at you in awe. however, you were immediately wakened up from your groggy state when ranpo decided to scare you in a playful manner.
“bah!” ranpo raised his hands in the air with his eyes completely opened.
“ah!” you shrieked and jumped from your back and immediately used your chaos magic to teleport away from him, instinctively hiding behind dazai’s pant leg, right in his long brown coat.
“she teleported.” kyouka exclaimed, eyes widening.
“oi, don’t scare her, ranpo-kun.” dazai shook his head at his fellow detective. “you’re gonna give this poor kid a heart attack.”
“sorry, i couldn’t help myself.” ranpo smiled, chuckling softly.
“hey, you good?” dazai peered down at you to see you still clinging onto his leg when he noticed your eyes staring intently at each and everyone in the room. “there’s nothing be afraid of because the only thing you should be afraid of is kunikida-kun’s ideals.”
the blonde man outraged in the background. “oi, what the hell are you telling the kid?!”
“kuni..?” you tested out the name, blinking.
“yes, yes. kunikida-kun. that’s him.” dazai pointed at the man who was carrying you earlier when you passed out. “and that’s atsushi-kun, the boy you saved earlier.”
eventually, dazai took the initiative of introducing you to everyone in the agency. from the agency’s president to the clerks, naomi and kirako, who were so fond of you earlier. the tables have turned this time, it was you who was in awe of this time. fate really has its own way of introducing you the vast multiverse, and this time, it has shown you an entirely unique yet familiar one.
“say, what about you? what is your name?” atsushi flashed you a smile as he tipped his head to the side.
“my name’s [name]! fushiguro [name].” you introduced yourself, slowly stepping away from dazai’s pant leg. you were much more confident and less shy this time.
“nice to meet you, [name]-chan!” atsushi acknowledged you.
“it really is a pleasure to meet you, [name]-chan. speaking of which, we do have a couple of questions for you which is why you’ll be talking to ranpo, kunikida and i in my offic—before fukuzawa could finish, the growl of your stomach had promptly cut him off.
"are you hungry, [name]-chan?” you looked up to dazai, eyes blinking.
you nodded, “mhm.”
“well, in that case..” suddenly, you were hoisted from the floor and, the next thing you knew, you were being carried in dazai’s arms. “it is my utmost duty as a responsible adult to make sure a famished child like you is fed!”
“eh?” you squeaked out.
with that, dazai had then comically ran off with you in his arms at full speed.
“DAZAI!”
everyone screamed, but it was too late. you two had already disappeared to who knows where.
“that idiot! using a child as an excuse to slack off and be unproductive!” kunikida clenched his trembling fists and teeth as a nerve protruded on his temple. “so much for being a responsible adult.”
fukuzawa drew out a long breath of sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “kunikida, atsushi, find where dazai ran off and make sure [name] is unharmed.”
“understood.” atsushi and kunikida nodded.
“dazai-san better take care of [name]. we all know how that man is a much more of a child than the child we have right now.” naomi exclaimed with a scrunched face.
“agreed.” junichiro, naomi’s brother, nodded.
“aww, man. i was really looking forward to talk to [name]. looks like dazai will be the one to do it instead.” ranpo scoffed in a childish manner.
“hey, ranpo-kun. is [name]-chan telling the truth? how she comes from another universe and all that?” kenji inquired.
everyone who was left behind in the office, as kunikida and atsushi went to look for you and dazai, directed their gazes towards him.
“it’s all true.” a smile had curved on ranpo’s lips as he opened his eyes.
“alright, [name]-chan~ what do you wanna eat?”
dazai had whisked you away into a restaurant that had caught your eye as he carried you in his arms. you haven’t eaten since the moment your powers activated and transported you into this world. it was probably the reason why you had blacked out earlier. not only were you exhausted from using chaos magic, you had an empty stomach too.
“egg with rice and ketchup!” you exclaimed with starlit eyes as you faced dazai.
you were sitting across from each other at a table, and you realized how much he resembled a very familiar person you knew and loved, not just from his childish and playful antics, but also from how he acts around you.
dazai asked, snapping his fingers, as if he was playing a guessing game with you. “omurice?”
“yes! omurice!” you confirmed, nodding your head vigorously.
“alright, omurice it is!” dazai chimed, clasping his hands together and ordered you some food. “we’ll have omurice!”
you were practically drooling as soon as you got your food, and you couldn’t help but clap your hands and do a little happy dance. the omelet that was drizzled with ketchup and topping the fried rice looked so delicious, you literally started shoving spoonfuls in your mouth.
“goodness, slow down. you should chew your food or else you’re gonna get a stomach ache missy.” dazai held an astonished yet look of concern. “you got ketchup on your face too.”
you can’t help but stare at him as he leaned towards you and extended a hand out and gently wiped the sauce that was on the corner of your mouth. dazai leaned back into his seat after doing so.
“thank you!” you chimed, giggling softly. “you remind me of daddy.”
“really now?” dazai chuckled softly, leaning against his knuckles as he propped his elbows on the hard wooden surface of the table.
“mhm, you act a lot like him too.” you nodded your head in agreement. “actually, you guys remind me of everyone back home.”
“could you tell me about home, then?”
although you knew dazai was asking you questions for intel, you really didn’t mind. you already knew what he and the others were back at the agency. all of them had quite the thoughts, and you were able to caught wind every single one of them thanks to your mind-reading abilities. you might have been a naive child, but you were really observant. besides, dazai was relatively harmless. it’s not like he could hurt you anyway.
you ended up having deep and meaningful conversation with dazai. you told him about the existence of jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits, as well as your powers and identity as a witch. he wasn’t really surprised, just a tiny bit, considering all the stuff he had witnessed in his world before.
dazai was intrigued, and somewhat pitied you when you also ended up telling him how the higher-ups don’t like you and how the zenin clan wanted you. you might have a storytelling of a child, but dazai was a detective. he instantly knew what you had meant—the higher-ups saw you as a threat and how the zenin family you spoke of, wanted your powers.
dazai was able to piece together all of the information you gave him, and well, he was intrigued and a bit worried. this world of his has people who are gifted with supernatural powers and just like in your world, not everyone has a good heart. some are just like the higher-ups and the zenins, people who’d use you and hurt you for your powers.
your ability, or in this case, abilities, considering how you were capable of more than one thing, was nothing like ones he had seen before. if the port mafia or even someone like fyodor found out about your existence, then your life here is bound to be in danger.
“i’m gonna be just fine!”
dazai was taken back to reality when he felt something warm and tiny wrap around his hand. blinking, he stared at the hand you had intertwined in his before staring into your [color] eyes.
“you don’t have to worry about the mafia or bad people getting me.” you told him, and slowly, his eyes widened.
“did you just read my mind?” dazai blinked profusely.
“yeah, i can do that too, but not all the time. it just happens when they are too loud for me to hear.” you explained briefly.
dazai shook his head, laughing in amusement. “you’re just full of surprises aren’t you little missy? don’t tell me you’ve been hearing thoughts since earlier.”
“i have, and it’s how i found out how you and everyone back at the office are detectives.” you answered, giggling a bit. “you guys are pretty cool! you remind me of daddy and gumi-nii, except they don’t really do detective stuff. they do jujutsu missions where they exercise curses and stuff.”
“it’s exorcise~” dazai stared and laughed at you rather fondly as he extended a hand to your face and pinched your cheek. it was just so squishy and pinchable.
“but i’m serious though, you don’t need to worry about me! you’re acting like my daddy!” you giggled and folded your arms across your chest after gently pushing his hand away from your cheek.
“and why is that?” dazai raised a brow, amused.
“because i’m the scarlet witch and i’m the strongest!” your face contorted into an adorable pout.
“oh yeah?” dazai challenged you in a playful manner.
“yeah! yeah!” you nodded.
after eating at the restaurant which dazai paid for by putting it on kunikida’s tab, you two were back in the streets. this time, instead of being carried, you were walking alongside him while you holding his hand. dazai couldn’t help but smile ever so genuinely when you looked up to him with a bright and adorable smile as you cheerfully swung his and you hands that were interwoven with one another.
“dazai-nii..”
his eyes widened when you addressed him as such and made his heart flutter somehow.
it was strange yet warm and fuzzy.
“yes, [name]-chan?”
“it’s uncle kunikida and sushi-nii.” you pointed at the two men darting towards you and him.
“DAZAI OSAMU!!”
“DAZAI-SAN!!”
“hey, [name]-chan. you can teleport right?” dazai peered down at you, grasping your hand, which you nodded your head at.
“well, good, because now is the time for us head back to the agency! kunikida-kun and atsushi-kun are playing tag with us~”
“they are?! let’s go back then!”
as dazai released your hand and the two of you were enveloped in a red mist of psionics. in a blink on an eye, you and dazai had successfully returned to the office. but even if you two did manage to escape kunikida and atsushi, dazai still ended up getting strangled and whacked as soon as they got back and in the midst of chaos, you laughed because it reminded you of how your older brother’s classmates and the faculty of jujutsu tech are always onto gojo. it was no wonder why you instantly felt familiar and warmed up to this world.
after spending time with rest of the detectives, you ended up learning more about their work and themselves in general. you even told them their resemblances to the people you knew and love back home such as how dazai resembled gojo, kunikida resembled nanami, atsushi resembled yuuji, yosano resembled shoko, nobara and maki, and many others.
they also got you to show them your wiggly-woos magic, much to their curiosity and interest. all of them described it as something warm yet heavy and ominous at the same time. you usually used your chaos magic for making things float and generating force fields apart from sending them as projectiles.
however, what interested them the most was the runed-hex you could create, which you liked to call as domain expansion. it was quite similar to dazai’s ability, no longer human. in the space of you have created with your red psionics, only you can use your abilities while every single one inside cannot since it is nullified. as you taught them about your world, they taught you theirs too. much to kunikida’s protests, dazai was able convince them to teach you since you could read minds anyway, and you pretty much had the understanding and intelligence of an adult despite only being five to seven years old in age.
eventually, you had to return home because you had gotten a precognition that gojo was on the verge of losing it and the jujutsu sorcerers from school were looking for you now too. at the end of the day, the armed detective agency had grown attached to you, whether they admit it or not. having someone like you was like a fresh breath of air.
“do you really have to leave [name]-chan?” dazai was on the floor, clinging onto you childishly by wrapping his arms around your tiny body while pressing his head against your stomach, knowing well if you leave, he won’t have a good reason to slack off.
“i have to, but i can always come back here whenever.” you answered nonchalant, patting dazai’s fluffy brown hair as if you were petting a dog.
“we learned a lot from you today, [name]-chan. thank you. you’re always welcome here.” fukuzawa exclaimed, peering down at you with a smile as he proceeded to ruffle your hair. “take care and stay safe.”
“i will uncle fukuzaw—i mean, fukuzawa-san!” a blush had spread across your cheekbones from embarrassment as you realized and corrected your mistake. “fukuzawa-san, yes.”
“you can call me your uncle if you want, i don’t mind.” a chuckle had erupted from his throat.
“okay!” you nodded your head, smiling.
after saying your farewells, you took a deep breath and made your chaos magic come into fruition. everyone watched in amazement as you made a portal right before their eyes, conjured by the ominous red psionics you possessed. from the portal, they were able to spot four figures on the other side. a young man with white hair was on the verge of tears, and he was being accompanied by three teenagers: a boy with spikey black hair, a boy with pink hair, and a girl with ginger hair.
“daddy!” you cried out in glee, running straight into the portal, darting towards the man with white hair.
“kikufuku? kikufuku!”
gojo immediately went to whisk you in his arms, picking you up from the ground and peppered your face with kisses. “thank goodness, you’re okay! we were looking everywhere for you!”
“is that gojo satoru? the one [name]-chan told us about being her father and the strongest sorcerer?” atsushi’s eyes stared at the man with a wonderstruck gaze.
“who are those peopl—before neither nobara nor the detectives from the world you had just been to could utter a word, the portal you had constructed had immediately closed and dissipated into thin air.
"you traveled universes, again?” megumi, your older brother, stared at you in concern.
“mhm!” you beamed rather happily, oblivious to how worried gojo, megumi, nobara, and yuuji had been as soon as they found out you were missing.
“thank goodness you’re okay. they didn’t hurt you, did they?” gojo cupped your face.
“nope!” you shook your head. “they’re nice people. dazai-nii and the others are detectives. they investigate and help the police, but they have powers too! just like me!”
“dazai-nii?” gojo, megumi, nobara and yuuji muttered in unison.
“yes! dazai-nii. he acts just like you daddy, and then there’s also atsushi-nii who’s just like yuuji-nii. they remind me of you guys.” you threw your arms in the air as you confirmed them.
yuuji ruffed your hair as gojo held you in his arms. “that’s nice, [name]-chan. i’m glad they are good.”
“please don’t run off like that again, okay? at least tell me when you’re going somewhere. i almost called all of the jujutsu sorcerers again.” gojo sighed, burying his face into your hair as he held you close. “and you need to tell me who those people are too.”
“i will! i actually have a lot to tell you!” you nodded excitedly.
bonus scene:
days have passed since you traveled to the world of gifted detectives and mafias. at first, gojo and his students didn’t think much of the people you met there, considering how nice they had been to you. however, it did worry them since you had to use your powers to 'fight’ and save atsushi, and that was actually the first time you had willingly used your powers against something, because when you go head-to-head with curses, it’s always an accident for you to use powers on them.
but what really caught their attention was the non-chaos magic ability you had gained.
picking locks.
gojo specifically remembered locking his secret stash of sweets from you at home when he walked into you.
“kikufuku, where are you? what are you doi—you were picking the lock with a hairpin you got, and the fact that were able to open it with just a couple of pokes and listening to the lock, he was too impressed to even scold you. not only did you do that fast, but you didn’t use your magic. that was you and your wits alone.
"you know what, you can have it.”
but then, you ended up doing it again, this time at jujutsu tech.
you had successfully picked the lock of the weaponry room they had, which stores special grade cursed tools, and well, you ended up playing with whatever you got there and just started slashing and swinging, and may or may not have destoryed the school due to your chaos magic that was being manifested.
and then, they also discovered how your aim improved significantly.
“what in the—how did you do that?!”
you had found a shuriken and ended up throwing it the target practice as if it was nothing, and just like when you picked the lock, you didn’t use your wiggly-woos magic.
“dazai-nii, taught me how!”
