Manchester United prepared to make PSR loss on Rasmus Hojlund to sell him
Rasmus Hojlund joined Man United for a fee rising to £72m in 2023 but his stay at the club could be coming to an end.
Manchester United are prepared to make a loss on Rasmus Hojlund to ensure that he is sold this summer.
United want £30million for Hojlund, whose value under the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules is £38.4m.
Hojlund, 22, joined United from Atalanta for £64m up front in 2023 and he is two years into a five-year contract, meaning he is worth £38.4m under the PSR calculations.
However, United are conscious that no interested club would meet that valuation and are ready to accept a lower fee for Hojlund to try and sell him. Inter Milan enquired about Hojlund at the start of the summer.
United want to sign a new striker and remain in discussions about a possible move for Benjamin Sesko, having considered Liam Delap, Viktor Gyokeres and Ollie Watkins.
The MEN revealed in May that members of the United hierarchy are unconvinced by Hojlund and the club is willing to cut its losses on the Denmark international.

United head coach Ruben Amorim failed to give assurances that Hojlund would stay beyond the closure of the transfer window after he scored two goals in the 4-1 win against Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Hojlund said in midweek he is planning to stay at United but the arrival of a new goalscorer could push him out of the club.
"I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to stay and fight for my spot, whatever happens," Hojlund said. "I'm still very young. I think people forget that sometimes. I'm only 22.
"Obviously, not every striker is scoring 100 goals at the age of 22 (like Erling Haaland). But I've learned a lot, I think you can see in my game. I'm starting to develop and become even better in the basics.
"Now it's just about for me to sharpen myself and I've done very well in the pre-season so far. Just focusing on continuing that.
"Competition is fine with me. It sharpens me. I'm more than ready. I'm feeling sharp, so I'm welcoming everything that comes. I think it's good with competition and it only sharpens the team."
