Sorry, but I don't want to see fresh cops putting themselves in harms way for 55-60K a year simply because they haven't reached seniority. So while I grant what he said 5 years ago may no longer be his position, it's relevant in the sense that it gives one reason to believe he may be less likely to raise the wages of police officers, even if he won't defund them.
